On a walking tour of downtown St Augustine we were enamored by the beautiful stained glass windows of the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Augustine. The arched column entry way, the double wooden entry doors, and crowned coat of arms are also impressive, as well as the beamed ceiling. Highly recommended!

The Cathedral is a must visit while in St. Augustine. We stop in every time that we're in the city and actually got to see a wedding taking place on the last visit.

Beautiful stained glass windows and beamed ceiling. Free to visit. There is a docent available to share the church's history with you and answer your questions.

Beautiful welcoming site with much historical significance. Stained glass windows, beautiful wood and marble work. A very nice retreat from the heat. Stay and pray if you like!

A beautiful church with so much history. We stayed for Mass which was very nice. I would definitely recommend seeing if you like beautiful, historical churches.

One of the most welcoming cathedrals I've ever been to even with all of the typical luxury. The velvet ceiling is quite unique and it brings up the beauty of the ebony beams. Definitely a sight to behold.

Coming from Europe, I was surprised at the wooden beams in the ceiling! For such a large Cathedral, I was expecting marble and stone and to see the wooden beams in such great shape was such a surprise! I have never seen a cathedral like it! The stained glass windows are beautiful. Look behind and up to the organ and... More

The church is very nice and recently refurbished, which in my opinion reduce the attractive of the attraction. I would expect to see original from the colony saints figures and a more Spanish traditional church. It is nice to enter and walk around, but do it expect too much

The oldest Catholic Church in America. Come on, this is a no brainier regardless of your religious affiliation. I promise they didn't try to convert me! I even got in a quick prayer ;)
