Great living history experience!
Jan 2018 • Family
My 6 year old son went here first with his class, and really enjoyed the experience. He asked that we go back as a family, and it was as fun as he initially described. I enjoyed the emphasis on the Timucua culture and its contributions to the Spanish colony. It was an entertaining site for adults and children.

Wonderful interactive experience for adults And kids!
Dec 2017 • Family
We got tickets for this on Groupon and to be honest didn’t expect much for $5/person. It turned out to be the most fun thing we did on our 10 day trip! It was very educational while at the same time being very fun and interactive! The kids loved being able to touch all the artifacts and play the old historic games, and adults will love hearing about the history of the area while the kids are engaged.

The tour guide was wonderful, and After the guided tour you will be allowed to go back through and spend as much time as you like looking at things and playing with the games. We allowed 2.5 hours and wish we had more time. I had to take all my 5 kids by myself while my husband was at another event and it was a great relaxing place to have multiple kids playing in a contained, safe environment. My kids range in age from 2-11 and they all loved it. They asked to go back again!

This is a great place for anyone interested in history or archaeology and it is fun for kids of all ages (my 2 teenagers even enjoyed it!). Tour guides Kyle and Kathleen did a wonderful job describing the artifacts and telling informative stories. Thank you!

Tour was for small children not for adults
May 2017 • Couples
We were told we could self tour after introduction, this was also stated on handout. When we tried to tour on our own we were stopped by a rude man in one of the buildings who told us to take our complaint to the cashier who were swamped. I did not like being left standing in the hat sun while staff told stories for the children. we left vry early in the tour.

A very interesting and informative place to visit

Get ready for a trip back in time. Learn what it was like living when the first Spaniards landed in Florida. The tour guides dress in period clothes and give a very informative tour . It's hands on and you earn coins for doing different challenges along the way.

Timeline comes to life

If you are the curious type and have a good imagination, this is a wonderful place. We were encouraged to pretend and engage with "artifacts" of an earlier age - the 1500's when Native American and Spaniards first met. I did not know what to expect. It was fun to watch school-age children get excited, and parents encouraged them to focus on one activity at a time. I'm a retired person who learned a thing or two.

DON'T PET THE CAT
Oct 2016 • Couples
This is a great museum for kids, my fiance and I had a fun time collecting coins along the way and the exhibits are very interactive and informative. I was disappointed when a big black cat jumped on the table and I was told not to pet him. Animal lover that I am it was hard to resist. At the end of the guided tour you are able to use your coins to purchase a memento of your tour. Really neat place to visit!!!!

An amazing, fun, and educational tour

This is a great museum, you will learn so much while being entertained. This is a completely interactive and hands on experience, the kids earn gold coins they can spend in the gift shop. I highly recommend it! This is one of the best tours in St. Augustine, and that says a lot!

Great family activity.

My family had a great time here, my 7 year old daughter especially liked it being a hands o tour. She was able to play games from the time period, make a shell necklace, dip a candle as well as get some amazing historical facts.

My kids loved it so much, they wanted to go back the next day!
Sep 2016 • Family
A family member who lives in St. Augustine recommended this place when I was looking for sightseeing things to do with my children. I went with my two boys, ages 9 and 5, and they loved every minute of it. The guides gave an interesting, kid-friendly presentation that made learning fun. My favorite moment was when one of the guides said to my kids, "you guys can get up and touch stuff." They got to make candles, use a hand-operated drill, play games, make shell necklaces, face-painting, hande animal and native-american artifacts, and dig for treasure. The hands-on aspects made this highly entertaining to my boys. Along the way you earn gold coins, which the kids can then spend on souvenirs in the gift shop for things like pretty shells and necklaces. The gift shop is full of items that are very interesting for little boys, and so having their own coins to spend was really cool. And this mom was grateful to not have to fend off requests to buy this or that. The whole experience was a great value!
