Brandon did a great job taking us to the Matanzas Inlet on the eco-boat (powered in part by vegetable oil). We immediately spotted a group of manatees including a calf! He point out egrets, terns, royal terns and pelicans. He really knows a lot about these birds! We went by Fort Matanzas and got the complete history of the French... More

My 3 teens and I had never been kayaking before, it was super easy! The kayaks have a pedal rudder system so you steer with your feet. Leif took us on the moonrise tour 7-9. I highly recommend this time of day. It has cooled down and kayaking is a bit of work. I would not want to do it... More

Not only did I truly enjoy the sunset kayak tour, but the tour guide Leif Burhans gave me a wealth of knowledge about the coastal wet lands of Florida. He educated us from everything about birds, mating/habitat, and all vegetation. Leif made it an enjoyable and informative tour.

We had a great time. The guides were awesome. We have been kayaking before but have never had the instruction that they provided. They were also extremely knowledgable about the environment. We learned so much!

We rented kayaks here. Our 9yr old granddaughter was with us and we didn't know how she would tolerate being in a kayak for several hours( she was a champ!). Easy to reserve and they did a great job of instructing us about kayaking and about the area. Just the 10 minutes with the tour guides made us wish we... More

Thank you for your acknowledgement in regards to the consideration of a guided ecotour. We do agree with you and we recommend a guided adventure in order to explore the area safer, further and to learn about the amazing ecology. As you mentioned the rental program can meet some of the adventure but not all of what the Ripple Effect... More

The guides were polite and very knowledgeable about kayaking and the coastal estuary. We saw dolphins and a great blue heron. They included rests along the way which at age 62 yrs. we needed. No bugs bothered us at all.

I did the sunset tour with one of my friends. We learned so much. Our guide Lief was truly knowledgeable about the history and the ecosystem. He had some great stories to tell too. If you are going to do a tour with Ripple Effect I recommend asking for Lief.

We had a great time and the guides were really awesome. The guides were very safety conscious and answered ALL questions from the group. So my parents live in the Palm Coast, Florida area and given that my son is 4 we were looking for something active to do with him. This place is outrageously close... from Palm Coast it literally took us 6 minutes to get there. For those of you who don't know the area, it is across the street from MarineLand.... More

Thank you for your review. We are located conveniently from many areas such as Palm Coast, Daytona, Orlando to our south and Saint Augustine, Jacksonville to our north. Some of those locations are a longer commute, but definitely worth it for the adventurous nature seeker wanting the outdoor adventure in the most amazing coastal estuarine system on the east coast....
