Great time!!

I brought my son, who was 8 at the time, to this and he had a blast! The guide was funny and explained everything very well! I loved the whole tour!

This is such an entertaining place to visit. We all loved it - kids and adults. The staff is absolutely wonderful and really care if you are having a nice visit, everyone was so nice and friendly. The kids loved the Indian village and getting little "prizes". The fort also has a nice little gift shop. I would highly recommend... More

Our family of 5 had a wonderful half day at the fort. Our guides were Laura, Kathleen and a lady whose name we didn't catch but who was so knowledgeable about the native tribe. We learnt loads and had so much fun playing all the games, building fences, earning ducados, digging for treasure, having our faces painted and dressing up... More

My boys (6&8) loved the museum. Great historical overview and tons of hands on activities. They wanted to go back the next day just for replays of the games. They were also thrilled with earning ducados that they got to spend at the end. Fabulous afternoon and a highlight of our trip.

Better than expected. Our tour guides were very knowledgeable, told stories woven with history that held the attention of adults and children. Tour guide, Fernando, was extremely patient and pleasant with the many questions from curious children. There were even games to play with the children and several photo ops. I'm not particularly a history buff, but will say that... More

The tour guide was very informative, we were able to touch everything, make candles, make necklaces, This would be really fun for kids.

Our guide, Kathleen, is extremely knowledgeable about the rich history of Fort Melendez, the Spanish settlers and the native Americans. On our guided tour she led us through the initial settlement of the fort, arrival by boat, later fires and destruction, and rebuildings, as well as a look at everyday life from gardening, to candlemaking, to education of the young.... My wife and I, including our kids enjoyed our second visit to this museum. This is our kids favorite museum in St. Augustine. The tour guide, Janine was wonderful. Kids loved her narrative and how she interacted with the kids. There are lots of hand on activities throughout the museum for the kids as well as the grownups to try.... More
