Don’t let the name of this zoo full you. There are other types of animals there like monkeys and different birds and reptiles. We were surprised on the size once we got in. Hundreds of gators to see! It was definitely worth the stop

It was really freaky. Not just alligators, though. There were lots of other animals as well. I really liked the lemurs!

The people were all very nice. It was cold when we were there so a lot of the animals were not very active, but it was well worth the money.

Which one? (11 Replies)
We will be vacationing in Florida in October and was wondering which Alligator Farm is the best to visit. Gatorland in Polk City or Alligator Farm Zoological Park in St. Augustine? Anyone been to both?

Alligator Farm in St. Augustine is world renown. Can't recommend it enough. I believe it's the only alligator farm in the world that has every species of alligator and crocodile. A lot of history here, too.

Best place to park (10 Replies)
We would like to visit St Augustine (heard it's a great place to visit) and I was thinking of using the Old Twn Trolley Tours and visiting the Alligator Farm Zoological Park. Does anyone know the best place to park our car that is safe, doesn't cost too much and is easy to find?

The Old Town Trolley's offer free parking at 3 convenient locations (one of the many reasons to use them!).... In my opinion, best parking is at their 'Ghost and Gravestones Depot' on San Marco Ave, directly next to Ripleys, easier walking distance to everything in the heart of the historic district. Also, depending on where you are staying, they will even come pick you up/drop you back off - contact them directly to see if your hotel is covered. Most of all- have fun!

Definately Saint Augustine and there is a lot more other stuff to do there. Check out the light house that is just near the gator farm, very nice.
