This is a tourist trap luring those into torture. It has a free gift shop and a shake down museum with no real artifacts. If you’re into torture this and a doctors office is for youMore

Hello, I am not sure what a "shake down " museum is, but we do have some authentic pieces in the museum, although most are replicas. We are quite different than anything else in St. Augustine and have never been called a "tourist trap" before....More

I will have to say, the torture museum itself is super creepy and very grotesque. Really cool place. The low rating is for two reasons 1) 80% of the museum is reproduction displays. Kinda takes the setting out of the place when you realize most...More

We do offer 3 seperate attractions, but we also offer the 3 combined at a discounted price of 30% off, which is what is described to our guests when they approach the ticket counter. If the customer does not specify that they only want one...More

My husband and I found this to be very interesting. We found out things we never knew about. It is a fact of history but sad to think people could treat others this way. There was a lot to see and read about. I don't...More

This place was simply the best torture museum I’ve ever seen. The staff was great and the exhibits blew me away.

The exhibits were interesting but a little on the gruesome corny side. A lot of things seemed to be repetitive. Not a must see.

We were quite impressed with this place, we spent about an hour in here learning about the various forms of torture throughout the ages and cultures. It is actually quite interesting and is worth the money. We were a bit Leary of how good it...More

The torture museum is interesting! Both of us enjoyed (not sure thats the right word!!) seeing all the many torture devices. We also did the audio tour (3$) along with it, which I would recommend.

My friends and I are in town visiting and we wanted to check something out with some history. It’s macabre, spooky, and really leaves you thinking about humanity. Definitely something to see if you’re into something scary!

My 21 year old daughter was so intrigued to go here. I reluctantly thought that it would just be another tourist trap but it was SO FASCINATING!!! Just when you think you knew the medieval torture methods...SO much to learn! The exhibits are fantastic and...More

We stopped into the museum not knowing quite what to expect. Although the exhibits are well done and informative, the macabre nature of the subject and some of the graphic details were a bit over the top, even for adults. I would not recommend taking...More
