Outstanding craftsmanship. Ornate statutes
— four white marble lions. A mile long walk across
the drawbridge. No tolls / fees assessed to cross bridge by car or foot. Limited parking in busy area of city. Bridge provides amazing views of city, fort, bay, sunset, lights and crosses over intracoastal waterway.

Walked accross this beautiful bridge. Nice cool evening, beautiful lights. Also took the lights tour trolly. It was just OK. Still playing loud Christmas music the whole way and no narration or explanations. But it was pretty.

Some would say it is just a bridge. But, it is history, architecture, engineering and so much more. Beautiful old bridge that connects downtown St. Augustine. The lions are beautiful and you need to imagine the time it took to create them. The drawbridge is so much a part of history. And the views from either side of the water, marinas and coastlines are all photo worthy. Walk across, drive across or just marvel from either shore. I am an engineer and I love these types of things when I travel.

Beautiful bridge and wonderful architecture. I loved watching the drawbridge go up and down. It was also interesting to see the yachts and sail boats go through the opening and we did not think they would fit through because they were so big! We only had to wait one time our entire trip to wait for it to let boats through and go down. Very pretty lit up at night!

We strolled down the waterfront, admiring all the boats moored in the basin. Our walk took us to the Bridge of Lions which we examined closely. It is wonderfully constructed and well lit. We crossed it just to see the view from the middle and the other end and were rewarded with some beautiful vistas.

Make a point to walk across the bridge and watch the drawbridge go up and down. The bridge is just west of the old fort located on the water (Castillo de San Marcos), and you can easily see the bridge from the fort. At the foot of the St Augustine side, is a mini-golf course and a replica of the Santa Maria which you can board, both great activities for restless kids. A beautiful bridge located in a beautiful spot by the water.

Nice piece of history that connects the historic district of St. Augustine with the beach section. It is fun to watch the draw bridge go up and down and the boats go through. The lions at each end protecting the bridge were cool. Drive over the bridge or walk over it. Nice focal point of this old city.

Opens up every half hour, and that can sometimes be a bit of a chore, especially for those folks who may not know that. When it's up, downtown traffic is a nightmare, as is traffic on Anastasia Island...

The Bridge of Lions spans the intercoastal. It is a beautiful view over the waterway on the way to Saint Augustine beach.
