This was quite a delightful place to tour. The tickets are free at the park. The gentleman who issues the tickets was so nice and informative. The boat ride across to the fort runs every hour in the half hour. It is a pretty boat ride over to the fort. Once at the fort, a guide gave a short lecture... More

We really enjoyed this historical site and it was FREE! It includes a nature trail and a ferry ride to the fort. You can climb in the fort and see how the soldiers lived. Also a short film in the visitors center. Take the kids!!

As a local in the area I decided to visit this National Monument. Is run by the National Park Service and they do a superb job. The attraction is free and you can only get to the fort by way of boat. The tour guide Grant was excellent. It does require climbing up stairs and steps once you get to... More

This is a must-do stop while visiting the St. Augustine area. What a great (and free) way to experience a bit of history in St. Augustine. I think would be ideal for families - my husband and I really enjoyed it. (Note - we visited day after a rainy day and while waiting for ferry, it was a bit buggy.... More

This NPS site us one of the smaller ones, and can easily be completed in an hour. The site can only be reached by a passenger ferry ran by NPS rangers. They did a great job describing the importance of this fort in the struggle fire control of the area between the Spanish and French.

This Fort is down away from all the hubbub of downtown. You take a short boat ride over to the fort where national Park Rangers give you an education about the fort, it's history, and tell you stories of the struggles of the men who protected Saint Augustine. I really enjoyed this one because it wasn't very crowded

To access this Fort you will need to obtain a free boarding pass from the visitor center. Then, you will board a ferry boat to go across the channel to get to the Fort itself. The tour is ran off donations to contribute to the conversation and run by state park rangers, who double as the tour guides. The tour... More
