This is a national park right on the coast. Definitely worth seeing. I believe it was built in the 1600's making it one of the oldest defense forts in the country. Good example of a moat and drawbridge. You can wander on your own and explore. The staff did shoot off a canon while we were there. Very interesting. It's... More

Located on the seaside of St. Augustine is this fort. Created in the 1600s as a defense fort and has survived to date. Castillo de San Marcos, or “The Old Fort” to the locals, is rumored to be a haunted place. If you are a ghost hunter, a trip to “The Old Fort” is an absolute mustt! The Castillo de... More

Nice fortress, located in St. Augustine, Florida. It's quite a piece of history, one of the oldest in USA.

Self guided tour of a National Park. They could do better with describing how rooms were used on their hand out. Beautiful view from top level. Amazing architecture. Fascinating history. Wear good walking shoes.

The oldest european community in north america makes this city well worth the trip. While there though, make time to check out this well preserved fort. Interesting walking tours and guides available to share with you interesting facts regarding the fort and life back in the 1500's and up. I'm not a fort type of tourist but this was well... More

An samll stone fort in a corner of a magical city. Its a reminder of the long history of Florida, and their spanish heritage. Take amazin fotos form the battlements, hear a cannon roar every afternoon and fell the period watching the wardns roaming the fort in the spanish militari uniform.

$10 for adults FREE for kids. There's a lot of history and you'll enjoy the view inside the old fort plus the view from the top.
