We had an archeologist as our tour guide. She told us about the lighthouse, and a WHOLE bunch more. She was excellent, and we spent over an hour with her. The climb is well worth it, and the view is amazing, in this flat state!...More

Dear Reviewer, We are glad you had a good time. Our guided tours offered on the hour are great for rainy or foggy days, when the climb is still beautiful but not as sweeping. We hope you'll come back again some sunny day! Cordially, Kathy...More

We were able to take the tour and learned about the expeditions to salvage artifacts from shipwrecks. It was fascinating to watch the volunteer ship builders.

I love lighthouses so I was happy to visit this one. It is nice that you can actually climb to the top of this one. The view is great from the top. I recommend visiting this lighthouse if you are in St Augustine Florida.

I have wanted to visit the lighthouse for years. It's exhausting climbing the 219 steps to get to the top but worthwhile. There are several platforms where you can stop and rest (catch your breath). The light/glass lens on top was rotating, and the view...More

The lighthouse was the star, and deservedly so. Breathtaking climb (literally) and very nice view. I was surprised how interesting the lighthouse keeper's house was, and the reenacted craftsman area looked interesting, although it was not staffed while we were there. I even liked the...More

I feel the price is a little high for seeing the light house and because of our health could not climb up it. Did get a couple of good pictures standing outside of it. Do not go on a froggy day as the day before...More

A tour of lighthouse, keeper's house, and other exhibits. Interesting and educational (some lectures almost too in depth) Nice area and well kept - great gift shop. Little overpriced - over $50 for 4 adults to take tour.

The lighthouse and keepers house have been restored and work as they originally did. Excellent work and plenty of well trained staff to explain and answer questions. They also have a boatbuilding section.
