Two adults took the 2pm tour on a Tuesday in early January with a total of 11 people on board. The captain was knowledgeable about the local area

We spent about 1 ½ hours on the tour on a beautiful sunny and warm day in the 70s. The boat is completely open so it could be cold depending on the weather.

We saw hundreds of birds but unfortunately no dolphins or eagles. We did get extremely close to an osprey eating his lunch on a bridge pillar.

The only complaint we can offer is that the captain could have been more talkative and have spoken louder, as it could be hard to hear him at times.

Cost was $40 per person plus tax, about double what the other tour boat charges here. But read the Trip Advisor reviews and decide which type of tour you want. We were very happy we chose this one.

I cannot say enough good and positive things about St. Augustine ECO tours and our incredible sailing experience with Capt. Austin. I would like to mention that Zach arranged everything in such a friendly and professional manner that we had zero worries as we approached the Two Belugas for our amazing Nights of Lights sail. We were fortunate and saw a baby dolphin as we cruised the bay during a gorgeous winter sunset and ended our experience with the most incredible view of the great city of St. Augustine at the most festive time of year!

Our 90-minute eco tour of St. Augustine Bay was one of the highlights of our trip to the city. Chris, our boat captain, was incredibly knowledgeable about the area's ecosystem and kept us informed the entire time. We saw dozens of dolphins, including a few that came right up to our boat (no manatees, unfortunately). We went in October 2020 so this was during the COVID-19 pandemic. Neither our captain nor the tour guests were required to wear masks. All in all, it was an amazing tour and I absolutely recommend everyone who visits St. Augustine do it.

Our family really enjoyed our private catamaran sail. This is our third adventure with EcoTours (we've done the kayak tour and the EcoTour). This time we wanted something a little more private for our family of four (COVID played a part in this desire) so we called and Zack and he helped us with options and booked our sail. On the day of our trip, Austin was our captain and he did a great job educating us about the boat and the sites of St. Augustine. This is such a calm way to see the city and we love the water. About halfway through our tour a freak thunderstorm popped up and Austin was cool, calm and collected. Liquid sunshine didn't bother us until some lightening (some a little too close for comfort) was added in the mix and that's when Austin's professionalism kicked in. He got us back to the dock safely and without incident. And even though we got back a little earlier than intended we all had a great time and were super soaked! We will definitely book this again the next time we are in St. Augustine and hopefully no rain will great us.

Vacation highlight. My family set sail with Zach a few years ago and we’ve been dying to take a trip with him again - with a few newbies this time. The Sailing Excursion is an absolute blast. Zach truly makes the trip and is extremely knowledgeable, you feel like you’re getting more than just a sailing experience.
On this specific trip, we started out with little wind and lots of sun, but that quickly turned around due to Zach! We headed towards a shrimp boat to see if we could see any dolphins and we surely did. It was truly amazing. On the way back we got caught in a pretty bad rain storm - but honestly it made the experience so much better. It cooled us off from the hot sun (keep a towel in your car).
We can’t wait to set sail again!

First and foremost, thank you to Zach. Three years ago, there was a hurricane when we were originally booked for our ECO tour, but there was a hurricane that demolished the dock. Zach called me personally to tell me that he was sorry that we would not be able to do the tour. When I asked him about conditions in St. Augustine, as I am a Kentuckian who could not see how the hurricane impacted the city, he reassured me that all was well enough to come to visit. And we were so glad we did! That is a testament to his pride in his city. But alas no ECOtour. We finally got to do the ECO tour today, 9/29/20, with our 3 children and it was beyond our imagination. Zach knew our names and treated us like family. This truly was the highlight of our trip and our children left with great lessons about taking care of the earth and our waterways. We will be back as soon as we are able to enjoy this again!
Thanks to Zach and his team for their passion for the fishes, nature, and marine mammals alike!

Being our 1st girl-only family vacay, I determined to not let the Corona virus scare keep my sis and I from making the most of it. I must say that after months of careful planning and saving and booking, shelling out $1k, and finding nice clothes for carefree dining at night, we arrived to a state amid several shut downs. Sadly this included 2 of my major scheduled activities - after beach relaxation, which we enjoyed before chaos took over. No fine dining at Columbia, so my pretty clothes remained unworn, no 1st time ever parasailing, real bummer for sure. Yet, despite all this, Eco Tours came through for sis and I and we sailed in a catamaran for the 1st time, weather was beautiful and we also got to see dolphins - cool! I'm sure our guide, Zach, as well as the tour office likely took a loss on a 2 person tour, so I greatly appreciate him for agreeing to still take us out on the water. I admit I hated heading back to shore but absolutely loved the entire 2hr excursion, it proved a fun and memorable last day in the sunshine state. Great and many Thanks to Zach and Eco Tours for saving a northerner's much needed vacation!!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our catamaran experience with Captain Zach. It took a few days due to the weather not cooperating in July but it was absolutely worth the wait. Zach was friendly and very hospitable throughout the trip. He kept the conversation going and answered all of the questions that my 5 and 8 year old boys asked of him. Zach let both boys drive the boat which made their trip. This catamaran excursion was one of the highlights of our trip to St. Augustine!
Thank you Zach for the amazing experience. When we visit St Augustine again, we will have to going sailing with you!
PS. Jackson says hello and he wants to go sailing with you again!

My son and I went on a Kayaking tour with an amazing guide, J. T., and had such a great time site seeing, learning about the salt water ecosystem, saw dolphins, sea turtles... we loved it! This was the first time we kayaked, so if you are thinking about going on this tour, you really don’t need any prior experience. The guide will give you all the details you need and you will be good to go! It was helpful to come prepared with a bottle of water and sunscreen.. We highly, highly recommend it!!!

Been visiting St. Augustine for five years and this is the best money we have ever spent here! Zach was informative, considerate of our children, and intentional about giving us a great experience. He noticed a shrimp boat in the distance and took us to see at least 20 dolphins. It is very obvious that he loves St Augustine and the animals in the Eco system. After doing the tour we truly felt we would have paid more for the experience. TEN STARS
