Well - here's a five star review from someone who unfortunately wasn't able to make the cruise. We so looked forward to it but had a medical emergency at the last minute. I didn't call to cancel as it was such late notice and i completely expected to pay. About 90 minutes prior to the cruise, I received a reminder call from Schooner Freedom - a real person - something we don't always experience these days. I told the friendly voice that we would be unable to make the cruise as we had a last minute medical emergency. I also told her that I fully understood I would have to pay and that I only regretted missing out on the experience. The lady on the phone insisted on not charging me. What? A real person....and an understanding and sympathetic one at that! I'm not sure if they have online scheduling - I couldn't find that option....but don't let that deter you from making the phone call and scheduling with a real live person. This is an excellent company and I can promise I will one day have that sailing experience aboard the Schooner Freedom. This is a great company and I look forward to doing business with them when in St. Augustine again. This may sound overly dramatic, but 2020 was a rough year - so thanks, Schooner Freedom for reminding me of the personal service and actual humanity that is still out there.…

Capt. Steve & his three man crew were amazing at making our cruise a great experience. All crew members had a great sense of humor and had background stories about sailing. This was our second cruise and we will visit again the next time we find our selves in St. Augustine.

Capt. Steve & his three man crew were amazing at making our large party feel safe and welcome on the waves. This was my first time in a sailing ship and I cannot wait to go back.

Great time! Even though the wind was not in our favor, making it difficult to use the sails, we could not have been happier. Covid safety procedures in place, was actually very nice to have roomy seating. They offered some beverages, but we brought our own special wine to enjoy. The crew was fantastic, and Steve was great as a captain. Funny and informational. We opted for the sunset cruise, though with a 4:15 departure, and return at 6:15 during March..no sunset to view...but still nice!…

The sunset sail was a fantastic activity to do with our family. Everyone gets a “good seat” no matter where you sit on the deck. The sailing was smooth and we were thankful that the weather was comfortable and the skies were clear for a lovely sunset. The view was mainly of houses and moored boats and not the city or fort, so although it wasn’t very exciting, it was still nice to be out on the water. We were also able to see some dolphins, which is always fun. Captain Steve and crew members, Hope and Lauren, were all very friendly, engaging, and happy to attend to all the guests throughout the two hour trip. The beverage selection is very limited but serves its purpose to quench your thirst if necessary. The crew was constantly asking everyone if they needed a refill, so that was nice that they made such an effort to do so. We look forward to sailing again on Freedom in the future, and hope to maybe enjoy a different route for a more scenic view.…
