We went on the afternoon nature tour. The guide Melissa was very knowledgeable on everything from the trees, the plants, the fish etc. The tour lasted for 2 hours. $25 a person which we booked online and put a 15% gratuity on there also.

We attended the sunset cruise on a Tuesday evening. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area. We loved learning so much about the area. The food options were from a local BBQ joint and were absolutely delicious and would definitely recommend. The captain was sure to bring to you a breathtaking area for easy sunset views. We would absolutely return.

Sunset Cruise w/optional dinner.

My wife and I have been on many dinner cruises in the Tampa area. Ranging from somewhat pricey to bargain rates: thus was by far the most enjoyable.

From the personable boat Captain to the tour guide there was a pleasant flow of useful/information about the local waterways and habitat. Any questions that came up were readily answered and built upon. Both kept passengers involved throughout up to and including music played during the return trip.

The amenities were simple but very appropriate for the side of the crowd and boat. Dinner served hot! Drinks were cold!

We did the sunset boat cruise with dinner. I was accompanied by two children, ages 8 and 10. We had a really nice time. Captain Dave and his assistant told us many stories about the area near Ruskin: about local flora and fauna, pirates, a broken bridge, a mansion, sea walls, etc. My children loved the props. The boat was a pontoon and didn't go extremely fast. Sometimes a cruise can be quite windy, but this was not bad. I brought a sweater but only wore it for about 5 minutes. The music was great and when it got dark, they put on some lights. The kids danced a bit. They said this was their favorite part of our trip!

We did this last night because a previous booking was cancelled due to rain. To reboot 6 weeks later was easy and no problem. The boat was clean and had some nice music playing. It left on time and Melissa the naturalist was were informed and pleasant pointing out different wildlife and history of the area. We did not do the food option but it smelled good. You could purchase soft drinks and beer on the boat, even win a beer if you saw a dolphin first, which someone did. It was all we could have expected with a beautiful sunset. Well worth the money and we will do again.

My family and I had a wonderful time on our lunch tour. Captain Dave and Melissa really went out of their way to make the experience memorable and enjoyable. We would recommend the cruise to others, and I would also take family and friends if people come to visit us. The lunch food was really good. Overall, we thought the cruise was very affordable.

This was a very nice relaxing boat tour of Cockroach and Tampa Bay, it’s Mangrove habitat along with Dolphins, Manatees, various water birds. We carefully followed a pod of dolphins as they made their way along the mangroves, watching and enjoying their playful antics. Our Captain Dave and First Mate Melissa were very knowledgeable and made this tour first rate. We had a catered BBQ meal which was excellent, well worth the nominal additional fee. This is a real gem, having been on many boat tours, the Latitude Tours was definitely one of the best.
