I've been playing the Hills for years and this year it is in pretty good shape. The greens are not perfect, but are generally good. The overseeding has come in well. There are some low area wet spots on the 2nd hole but other than that the course is good and enjoyable to play. It is relatively wide open and you just need to avoid the water in place. The sand traps could stand some work but the Covid rule is in place. You'll find it more difficult the higher your handicap so just move up a set of tees or two. Nothing to complain about here and the price to play in season is less than most courses.

If you don't like shooting over water then this is not the course for you. If you like a challenge then this is your spot. Look out the gators. Most greens are in good shape. The club could have ball cleaners stationed around the course. Go at lunch time and enjoy a free dog and a drink.

The zero maintenance course just met the criteria of a CHEAP play. The greens were hairier than my armpits. Water laying everywhere and sprinklers still on at midday.

We played both the Links course in Cape Haze and Pinemoor on the northern part of the circle. The Links course is shorter but has a lot of water involved on tee shots and landing areas along with many bunkers. The Pinemoor course is longer with less water but a lot of sandy waste areas. Both courses are well maintained with friendly staff and golfers.
