About Blue Heron Fishing
The Blue Heron Fleet was established in 1955 by Capt. Harry Nagel. The fleet has been family owned and operated with the third generation currently at the helm. Blue Heron offers excellent year round fishing at a great price. The two vessels are the largest and most comfortable in the area. Vessels are custom built aluminum drift fishers that meet and exceed the United States Coast Guard regulations. The cabins offer cushioned seating, settees for catering, and clean men's and ladies restrooms. The Vessels are equipped with state of the art navigation and fish finding equipment. We also are offering PRIVATE charter trips on our 35 foot Contender center console for up to six passengers. Both our locations are minutes from prime fishing grounds 20-40 minutes away depending on which hot spot is producing fish catches. Productive reefs (natural and artificial) exist in 50 feet through 200 feet of water. The Gulf Stream comes to its closest point of land around the Palm Beach and Jupiter Inlets. All of our fishing 'catching' is done from ¼ mile to 3 miles from shore. Catches consist of Kingfish, Snapper, Grouper, Mahi-Mahi, Sailfish, Cobia, Barracuda, Sharks, False Albacore and Wahoo. The fare includes rod, reel, bait, tackle, and fishing license. The crews have years of experience ensuring your families safety and enjoyment. Two half day excursion departing daily. No reservations necessary, but you can book online at our website. Blue Heron specializes in private charters for family, business, and corporate events with the options of fishing or cruising. FREE TRIP RAFFLE EACH EXCURSION!!

My favorite part was the quick responses from the mates and the captain. He was so funny and made all of us laugh while we're catching so much fish. Great crew who know what they doing....

We had a family trip, 5 adults and 2 kids, and the reviews were very accurate. We had a great experience! The crew was amazing and allowed us to learn how to fish and how to detangle lines. We were fortunate that the boat was only about 50% capacity, so the crew actually had time to help our kids. The captain kept everything in check, he only had a few salty remarks about our lack of fishing skills. We really appreciated the accommodations and the personality of the crew. Definitely will come back again.

Go farther out besides one mile! Stop fishing more than the guests! Give more assistant to the quest. Please use better bait!

We are sorry you had such a bad experience. Your headline is correct as we did lose money on this trip as we only had 10 passengers on an 88 foot vessel. One employee for each 5 passengers. The other 2 employees were enjoying time off so they enjoyed a trip doing what they love. The bait was the highest quality we can source. Its AMAZING that other customers on your same trip were super happy with the experience. You obviously are someone that will never be happy.

I came down to Singer Island myself. Booked a half day trip with Blue Heron Fishing. The best thing I could have done. Booking online was easy from Colorado. Excellent phone service from Don when I had questions. Easy to locate. Excellent care and attention from the staff members who were pretty funny. Knowing nothing they were great at explaining. I caught a nice Bonita fish too! The other guests were fun too. All was good. Oh, and what a fun boat trip. This will be on my things to do every trip I make once or twice a year. Looking forward to the next one! Patty Vail, Colorado

First of all, great, high energy, hard working professional crew. This was the first time in my adult life that I’ve had an opportunity to do this and am so glad I came here! The high point of the day was catching a huge black fin tuna (35 - 40 lbs.) I had a crew member working with me as I reeled him in. Had a real thrill at the end as shark took about a third of my catch (my “tax” for catching a trophy fish.) This was the experience of a lifetime and am now planning my next fishing trip with this crew on a future visit. Can’t recommend enough!!
