I'm a local boater and Peanut Island is not what it used to be. My wife, daughter and myself took our boat out late in the day on 9/4 and it was disappointing to say the least. Every Tom, Dick and Harry now has a boat and or jet ski and that's okay but not everyone (maybe 1/2) respect the... More

SNORKELING is amazing!!! It was a blast for my wife, myself, and our 7 year old daughter. The water was very calm but it's about 5 feet deep so I would recommend a vest for younger kids. We went on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, I can't imagine that the island could possibly be much more crowded, but the... More

You definitely want to get there at high tide. The water taxi was $10 each and is the only way to get there (unless... More

This place is pristine and a must see. We rented kayaks from Singer Island Outdoor Center and kayaked to the island (20 min). You can also take the Peanut Island Ferry (200 E. 13th St, Riviera Beach) which leaves every 30 min. I will do that next time so that we can bring more stuff for a picnic. There are... More
