Our experience with Best Peru Tours was great. Paola was very patient with our everchanging itinerary and requests. She was very helpful in navigating the forms required for entry into the country and offered many helpful suggestions. The hotels booked for our trip in the three locations of Lima, Cusco and Aguas Calientes were in great locations and just short walks from the major centers. The multiple airport/hotel/train transfers provided made the trip very easy to navigate. Tour guides were warm and friendly and communicated in English quite well. The guide who did the Lima city tour was especially entertaining and very informative. The two excursions up to Machu Picchu were worth the extra fees as the first was guided and the second we got to explore different areas at our own pace. It was a very tight schedule but everything worked out perfectly

I actually went on this tour a couple of years ago but am still blown away with my experience. From the moment we were met at the airport it was a remarkable trip that went above and beyond. It made traveling in another country incredibly safe and organized. We were able to customize our trip and were transported between each destination while also being given a phone for emergencies. If you plan on visiting Peru you must use them!

I started the planning process with Joyce whom sent me a personalized detailed itinerary for the trip to Peru. After a few emails and calls back and forth I was sold. The organization of the trip was impeccable and well thought out. We started in Lima, then Puerto Maldonado Jungle, Cusco, Machu Picchu, and Puno Lake titicaca. The trip was planned very thoughtfully to give time for us to adjust to the alittude. Due to the careful planning, we did not experience bad alitude sickness at all and were able to enjoy the sites.
From every airport, bus stop, train stop, we had a representative pick us up on time, carry our bags, and proceed to explain to us with great passion about the area, our itinerary, and other places we might enjoy as well as well as made sure we had all the information we needed to contact someone. All the places they suggested were in very safe places. Might I add they drove very safely, which is really a great perk since the roads can be quite dangerous.
All of the tour guides were extremely knowlegeable and very passionate about what they were teaching. They answered all questions and would also explain the history, legends, and a little bit of the country folklore so you can get a really good feel of the culture as well as accurate history.
All the hotels were very clean and located in prime safe areas. Never once did we feel to be in any danger. The hotels all had helpful staff and a delicious buffet breakfast in the morning. I can not praise the people of Best Peru Tours enough for their experienced planning and for providing us with a wonderful vacation. The people or Peru are very lovely and the sites are amazing, we really had such a wonderful time.

We are a Canadian family of 4 and booked our Amazon/ Cusco / Lake Titicaca / Lima tour with Best Peru tour (total 12 days). I must say the price is very reasonable – all hotels/ point to point transportations/ excursions/ some meals are included in the price. We traveled in August and booked the tour in April. Then in mid-July, someone from the Best Peru Tour called me at work and asked me if it is good with me to make minor changes to my itinerary which is alright at my part. They changed my date of one of my domestic flights. When they called, I was very busy at work and completely forgot about the changes that they made. I did not receive the revised itinerary as such when I arrived at Lima 1:30 am in the morning and was at shock that I am not checking in at the Lima Airport Ramada as I thought it would be. Cut the story short, there has been some disconnects between myself and the tour operator. To be fair I can’t totally put the blame on Best Tour.
One other note – the service of the agent in Puno is below expectation. Our flight from Puno to Lima leaves at 1:15 pm. The airport is in Julica which is about 45 minutes away from Puno. The agent was supposed to pick us up at 11 am which I feel is a bit tight in time. The agent re-assured me that it is enough time to get to the airport. But then they were late, arrived the hotel at 11:15 which I was not pleased. Then on the way the driver stopped for gas!!! We cut it so close arriving the airport, ran to check in our bags. I don’t want this kind of stress while I am on vacation. I hope Best Peru Tour can relay this concern to the Puno agents.
One last point – the package price is based on 3* hotels. I did upgrade some of my hotel stays. If I knew ahead of time, I would pay a bit extra to upgrade all hotels. There is nothing wrong about the hotels that come with the package. Peru’s 3* does not provide the level of comfort as a 3* in North America.

My 24 year old daughter joined me in this 8-day Peru Tours arranged by Best Peru Tour. Joyce was the travel agent who arranged everything for us. Overall, everything was delivered as planned. No surprises which is good. The one thing for first time traveler to Peru is to realized their 3-4 stars hotel is not in the same standard as the US. We upgraded the hotel in Lima to St. Augustine which supposed to be a 4-star. But we were surprised to find out one night there was no water at all, you can't take shower anytime you want. You will be woke up very often because you will hear every traveler checked in to their room with their luggage. The hallway is not carpeted and the rooms are not sound proof so very noisy. One thing to watch out is if your flight arrive in Lima late at night your hotel is usually about 45 min to an hour away. Due to early flight the next day so we decide to stay in Lima the next day to avoid the early flight to Cusco the very next day.
One good thing Joyce did was to fly us back to Lima from Puno at night to avoid the very early flight back to catch our flight home back to Los Angeles. But I decided to ask our guide Carlos in Lima to find us a hotel (at our own expense of course) near the Lima airport to avoid another hour drive to St. Augustine (our noisy hotel) in Miraflores. Because we arrived at Lima almost at midnight, going back to our hotel will be around 1am, and then they will pick us up at 9:30 am next morning for our 12 noon flight. Carlos was good about my request, thanks to him except the 3-star hotel is quite awful.
So study your itinerary carefully to avoid unnecessary travel. Don't expect too much of the hotels in Peru. Overall, Peru is a beautiful country, great scenery, very nice people. The most importantly, I did enjoy the time I had with my daughter.

My wife and i decided to goto Machu Picchu (literally last minute) and our exhaustive research on search engines led us to Best Peru Tours (BPT). They had the best prices/itinerary.
Right from the onset they were very accommodative to our needs and constraints! At the time, there was a travel advisory to Machu Picchu and when inquired, an almost immediate and in-depth response by David Ochoa was not only assuring, but provided us confidence as well! Our agent was Fabiola Rollins and she did a super job; literally communicating with us on phone and over text messages close to midnight (we closed the deal at 11PM on a Saturday) and helping us plan everything out to our wants and needs.
Now, the actual trip (proof in the pudding). Following are the main highlights -
1. People: The tour guides, coordinators, drivers and everyone else were great! Very polite, well mannered and funny, knew the subject and places well, offered great advice when required (including pointing to 2 - 3 vegetarian restaurants for us). They knew both English and Spanish well and had work cellphones, which was great i thought!
2. Locations: We did the $999 tour which covered Lima, Cusco, areas around Cusco, Aguas Calientes & Machu Picchu. This definitely helped us get a good flavor of Peru, from the busy and packed streets of Lima to the gorgeous city of Cusco tucked away in the mountains to the even more quaint little town of Aguas Calientes perched at the foot of Machu PIcchu with the thundering Amazon being the most noisy occupant!
3. Hotels: All hotels were satisfactory/good and had everything that we required. The mgmt and hotel staff were very helpful and accommodative (especially at Cusco - San Francisco Plaza where we spent 3 days). The locations perfect! Hotel at Lima was in Mira Flores, a couple blocks from the ancient pyramid. At Cusco a couple blocks again from the Main Square, which is the center point of all tourist activity and at Aguas Calientes, perched opposite the Amazon overlooking the beautiful Andes behind it!
4. Planning & Tours: Perfect minute to minute planning. Nothing unexpected or out of the blue. And they maintained time to the dot almost (the max delay we had was 10 minutes i think). The tours were not rushed, not crowded with too many people, very informative, educative and top-notch.
5. MACHU PICCHU: We went there 2 days - definitely required (2nd day, no guide)!! The guide was super and in-depth!! By the way, they have a centenary stamp at the entrance - don't forget to stamp your passport!!
Bottomline: Fun, very memorable, breathtaking experience & no hiccups what-so-ever! We were definitely in safe hands from the time we met the guide at Lima International Airport until being dropped off at Cusco International Airport where our trip ended!
Peru itself is very safe; at no point did we feel threatened. We met travelers from all over the world - India, Australia, Japan, Denmark, Ukraine, US, Portugal .. Peru! It was truly a marvelous experience. Would i recommend BPT - that's an absolute Yes!!

My husband and I just returned Sunday from the trip booked by Best Peru Tours out of Tampa, FL. Booked by David Ochoa, our itinerary took us to Lima, Cuzco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. We enjoyed this trip tremendously.
All scheduling went smoothly and the tours were of great value to us. Everyone in the hotels, tours, etc were so nice and helpful. We would especially like to thank Carlos in Lima -
the information he provided and his sense of humor was very much appreciated. Also to be commended were the drivers, CTM Tour guides (Cuzco, Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu) and the employees of the Britannia Miraflores, the Samay and Huatuchay Towers hotels. I wish to also express to all the Peruvian people how much we appreciated their friendliness and caring. Their country is beautiful as well as their people.
We highly recommend this tour company for its value and professionalism.

We toured all over Lima, Cusco, Nazca, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu with this company. Excellent contact and planning beforehand, we felt very comfortable sending our money to David in Florida, all the way from Canada. Very pleased to say that we had excellent guides, always on time, meetings at airports were always waiting and friendly which is so nice in a foreign country, and except for a wee glitch when we got to Nasca, which they tried very hard to fix immediately, I can say that our 11 day trip around Peru with Best Peru Tours was flawless. The hotels we were booked into were above average to excellent, and the tours were easy, and interesting, and we really feel like we got to "experience" Peru without feeling like a mass tourist group. Stunning country, lovely people, great food, and stunning landscapes.

Best Peru Tours was superb for the following many reasons:
1. The initial planning over the last year with Fabiola by email and phone was quite impressive. We customized our trip to Peru in several different ways with add ons and hotel upgrades. She was right there and flexible every time. I like the fact that you can customize.
2. The prices are very reasonable for what you get in return.
3. When they say transfers are included let me explain. Someone is there at the airport with a driver to pick you up and provide your itinerary. Every detail is worked out. They meed you at the hotel. All you do is show up at the time agreed upon, and they take care of the rest. No stress. No worries about navigating bus stops, airports, tours, etc. It was exceptional. It is so nice to have someone with you who has navigated the process before.
4. The tour groups were smaller than others. Most tour groups seemed to have 20-30 people, but our tour groups were around 12-15.
5. The tour guides were exceptional. Jose and Sylvia in Cusco were thoughtful, on time, and responsive to the group's needs.
6. Lilly in Cusco was quite good at her job. She explained everything well, and we always trusted her to be there and do what she said.
Altogether, the trip was wonderful and memorable and went off without a hitch. I was thoroughly impressed with Best Peru Tours.
Thanks,

My friend and I went to Peru Nov 26 for my birthday. We booked the flight only a month in advance and within a few days had our full itinerary planned out and confirmed. They asked about what we wanted to see/visit, about us, our likes/dislikes, what kind of experience we hoped for..,etc. After taking all this into consideration, they put the itinerary together...& it was perfect. They were able to organize and fit in everything we wanted to see (and we wanted to see a lot). While there, all the staff (tour guides, drivers, etc.) were so wonderful. Very helpful, patient, friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. Considering all the activities, locations, city hoping we did.... so much could have went wrong... but honestly, everything went right. They were very organized, always on time for transport and for transfers to activities and also to/from airports. I applaud this company for how organized and prepared they are. Thank you to all the staff from Arequipa to Cusco to Machu Picchu to Rainbow Mountain to the Manu Amazon and to Lima (and everything between)! THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY BIRTHDAY AND MY FIRST PERĂš EXPERIENCE AMAZING!

Hello, my family wants to visit Machu Picchu end of Dec this year, will it be good weather? It is rain season so will it rain everyday? Thank you!
Written August 7, 2019
Hi NorthStar, normally in December it rains in the highlands of Cusco and Machu Picchu, you can expect an average 40% of daily rain chance. You might encounter only afternoon showers or maybe a day of two of full sunshine with a full day of rain or cloudiness. ! Have a great day!
Written August 8, 2019
Can you add rainbow mountain to your own tour? If so, how much?
Written June 23, 2019
Yes, you can add places you want to see. They sent us itinerary we deleted/added locations, tours and number of days. They even set up a deep sea fishing trip for us at the end of our trip.
Tips are not included in total price.

How is the weather in Peru this time of year? It seems like a beautiful place. Planning an 11 Day Ecuador, the Amazon & Peru with Machu Picchu trip for a client. They are concerned about vaccinations needed. Is it truly necessary and what about insect repellent. Thanks for your assistance.

Peru has a bit of everything for everyone. Now is summer in Peru and Lima the Capital is like Florida or Louisiana. The middle of the Country known as the Sierra is the place where you have the high mountains and an impressive landscape full of snow peaks and vegetation and there are many places where you can buy textile and jewelry. The Jungle of Peru the Amazonas is a paradise in itself. Of course, the trip to Machu Picchu is the jewel of the country.
If you are healthy and young there is no need for vaccinations but if you are of advance age, then take some precautions to make your trip an enjoyable one. Have a good trip and tell us about your discoveries when you return. BUEN VIAJE!

Hi there! I am starting the research for my next vacation and it will be to Machu picchu next year around October. I will be traveling by myself and I am looking for a good package, HELP!
Thank you!

I made my own itinerary of places I wanted to go and let Best Peru tours figure out the minor logistics. In order, we did Lima (just overnight), Puerto Maldonado/Tambopata (amazing and so unique!!!) in the Amazon, Cusco (Sacred Valley), Machu Picchu, back to Cusco, then to Lake Titicaca/floating islands in Puno. 13 days from Los Angeles and back. Elevation wise, this is what made the most sense. We started at sea level, then worked our way up in altitude to be able to acclimate. Going DOWN to MP (7000 feet) from Cusco (12,000) for one day was a nice break before heading back UP to Cusco, then to Puno (13,000 feet). The elevation in Peru is no joke and it does take time to acclimate. Hope that helps!
