Magnificent seven tier waterfalls to enjoy photography, swimming, wading, swing ropes or zip lines. All of this set in a beautiful valley rainforest. A peaceful slice of the real Jamaica with delicious reasonably-priced food staffed with friendly people. It is well worth the trip to...More

We arrived at YS Falls as part of a tour from our resort. I do advise to bring water shoes, unless you are used to walking on rough surfaces. However we did make it through barefoot with the assistance of the sides there. The falls...More

We went here for an extra few dollars per person on our way out to the Pelican Bar...and it was worth it! They offered zip lining but we did not partake in that. We had a guide take us up the steps to the falls...More

Really glad we took the time to visit YS Falls. This is a must see attraction. We arrived about 11:00am on a Wedensday (1/3). There were a lot of cars and tour busses so I was nervous it was going to be packed. The falls...More

Travelled here as part of a group excursion from the resort in Montego Bay. The drive was terrible, right over the spine of the island. The falls were beautiful, great for pictures and a bit of adventure, the food a the base was great too!...More

We had a great time at YS Falls! Our guide Ian was awesome and safely maneuvered us up the falls. The water was very refreshing and we enjoyed our visit! We could have stayed all day if we hadn't planned other activities!

I didn't see any snakes. Wouldn't have occured to me that there would be. We spent our time in the falls and the waterfall pools (not the static "natural" swimming pool). I'm not a snake expert but would think that snakes... More

Transportation to YS Falls from Negril? (7 Replies)
I am looking to get transportation to YS Falls from Negril for a reasonable price. Based on my research, It will be $15 to get into the falls themselves so we just need a ride there It seems like it is almost 200 dollars just to get there every place I have asked. This seems like a lot to me. Any suggestions?

Private taxis vary pretty widely (and many will quote a high price at first but negotiate down). We use a driver routinely for various trips, and I'd guess that he'd charge something like $140-160 per carload round trip. His name is Biggs, at 876-410-0536. Glad to recommend him.
info on following excursions please!!!?? (12 Replies)
I am going to Negril in November and are interested in seeing the following things: Black River (the crocodiles), YS Falls and Mayfield Falls, and Appleton Rum Factory..... Has anyone been to these places? If so, is it worth going to these places? Or are there some sights more interesting than these.... Any info would be much appreciated!!

Hello Whaaaat, I have been on the Black River Deluxe tour with TOTT. On this tour we were picked up at our resort (SWH) and driven to Treasure Beach where we met up with our captain (Captain Dennis). We proceeded along the coast, past Pelican Bar (bar built out in the water on stilts) toward Black River. We were taken up the river where we saw many crocodiles along the way (up close and personal). Because Captain Dennis' boat is lower than the traditional tour boats used, he is able to take...More
Pairing up for different tours from 12/21 to 12/31 - anyone? (6 Replies)
Hi, we (father and adult son) will be going to Negril the first time in three weeks. We want do tours to Kingston, Ochos Rios, Pelican Bar, YS Falls, Mayfield falls and a backcountry tour. However, most of the tours are way too expensive to pay with two persons, as you go with at least 4 persons usually. We are open to any suggestions - just tell us some dates you like and I am sure we can arrange something! :-) Best regards

Unfortunately, she is exactly the one I am trying to tour with. She only has two booking so far for this month and told me to find some fellow travellers here. I tried not to promote her company so that I don't sound as a fake advertiser. Best regards
