323 reviews
Combine several different adventure activities on a single half-day tour from Punta Cana. Hop on board a powerful all-terrain vehicle, built for the rugged terrain of the Dominican Republic's interior, riding through a forest to a local organic farm. Taste coffee, chocolate, and rum before exploring a local cave and underground river. End up at Macao Beach for a chance to relax and swim before returning to Punta Cana.

The bus to pick up was late from the start. It was a packed bus, no one wearing masks and we were crammed for over an hour to get to the port. No AC on the bus either. Not to mention they had us stop at a local shop where again it was packed with other tourist and no running water in unclean bathrooms. WE ALSO PICKED UP THE WORKERS AND DROPPED THEM OFF ON THE BUS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. Once we got to marina they packed 30 plus of us on a catamaran and blasted the music the whole time, it was uncomfortable and way too loud. Served no alcohol only coke... ride was 45 min to a natural spring which was beautiful but the staff they had meaning photographers harass you to take pictures to buy later on, this went on the whole day. The one entertainer on the boat Enrique was uncomfortable and sucked. The food was buffet style and not good. The island was crammed with other tourists barely any seats open and the birds there were big, loud and tried to eat your food if left around. The speed boat was packed over capacity and ours ran out of gas. over all trip was terrible please don’t go and waste your time. Spend it at your resort instead.

Not worth the money or the time…The tour was from 8 to 5. The ride to get to the island Although on a beautiful catamaran was over two hours long. This doesn’t take an to account the hours that we spent getting to where the catamaran was stocked. We finally made it at noon. The island itself offers nothing but beach which was rough and vendors who over price everything. My husband had a massage and although the sign said $50 they charge the $ 70. They do provide food for you which was just OK. They were not able to sell any alcoholic drinks due to some restriction by the government. I say spend your money elsewhere.

The island, beach, and natural pool are absolutely beautiful...there is no mistaking that. However, the 3- 4 hour travel time on cramped bus, and the other tourists who get drunk and loud ruin everything for anyone trying to relax. The food is literally horrendous. Drinks are nothing but beer or rum and cokes in tiny plastic cups, unless you want to overpay for a shot of generic rum in a hollowed out pineapple. Not worth going unless you have your own means of getting there and back, and bring your own food and drinks.

During our stay in Punta Cana, my boyfriend and I took a catamaran cruise to Isla Saona National Park. The boat ride was fun and scenery was just gorgeous! Drinks and Lunch on the island were included and were yummy! Had a few hours to spend on the island and it was perfect! Highly recommend this tour!

The trip from our hotel to the boat took almost 2 hours by the time we stopped to get another couple. The starfish were great to see, but we weren't there very long. Saona Island was nice and the food was good. Really long day for a "beach" trip we could have done at our hotel
