We met Capt. Tyler Gulau at the Burnt Store Marina gas dock with the four of us ready to fish for six hours. Once we reached our first destination, it was non-stop action the entire day. Even though three of us are experienced fishermen (two captains), we were given a wealth of information on the species of fish we were catching along with information on flat water fishing locations and techniques of which we were unfamiliar. So it was definitely a good learning experience. The captain knew when a spot was turning off and didn’t hesitate to move somewhere else.
Captain Gulau is very personable, patient, and knowledgeable. I literally stopped counting the number of fish we hooked (or the ones that spit the hook): Jack Crevalle, snook, trout, red fish, catfish, and needle fish kept us busy all day. I would highly recommend booking with Tyler for a great time!

Capt. Tyler Gulau is one of the best charter captains I’ve ever fished with. I typically don’t write reviews for anything but I have to leave this one. Our back to back trips were amazing in every way. He put us on amazing redfish and snook ALL DAY LONG. The second day we brought the kids and he could not have made it a better experience. Professional, fun, and unbelievable fishing. We will definitely book with Capt. Tyler Gulau again.

We had a great, productive day on the water with Captain Tyler. He put us on snook all morning long, and consistently moved us around to ensure great catches. We had our 10 year old with us, and Captain Tyler was wonderful in inviting us to leave early to catch bait with him, and then was flat out awesome in helping to keep our kiddo occupied while on the boat for seven hours. Would hands down go with Captain Tyler again.

A group of Canadian friends wanted to experience fishing on the flats of the inter coastal waterway so we booked a fishing charter with this company. Tyler was an amazing guide who has great gear and a lot of experience. He took us out on his boat where we able to catch several species of fish. Trout, redfish, snook and a few other species.He has a perfect attitude to be a guide for a bunch of old guys with varied fishing experience. We had a pro fisherman on our boat and a newbie. I come from a commercial fishing background. He was great with all of us. The other boat, run by a hose dragger friend was much the same. We enjoyed the experience so much that we went out to lunch with them at an amazing dockside fish restaurant.

Had a great time fishing with captain Tyler! He was excellent with the kids, very professional, and we even had a blast in the rain! Will for sure use him next time! Highly recommend!

If your looking for a First Class Captain to do some snook, redfish, trout, or tarpon fishing, Captain Tyler Gulau is your man. Whatever your skill level is...he can handle anyone or everything thrown his way. Not only is he passionate about fishing, he is very knowledgeable and will put you on fish, no matter what conditions mother nature decides to dish out for the day. His laid back personality along with his desire to make sure everyone on board has a memorable experience and a good time is just a bonus.
Once you have been SNOOKED you will be HOOKED and Captain Tyler is the guide that I would recommend.

I have been with many fishing guides over the years from the arctic circle down to the keys. Tyler is the best guide I have ever had the pleasure of fishing with. He had more patience with my children than me or my wife. I have been on over a dozen trips with him and have never been disappointed. Wether you are a hard core fisherman looking for that fish of a lifetime or a family trying to catch your first saltwater fish, Tyler is your guide!

I've been fishing in Charlotte Harbor my entire life and I am always excited to fish with Cpt. Tyler! Whether you're an experienced angler looking for the fish of a lifetime or a family looking to get out on the water, catch fish and have fun, you can't go wrong with Tyler. His knowledge and experience is only surpassed by his professionalism and friendliness. His boat and equipment are always top notch and I would recommend to anyone.

Captain Tyler provided a very enjoyable fishing trip for us. He was a pleasure to fish with and a hard worker. His boat and fishing tackle were first class. Although I had experience with inshore fishing in northern Florida, I had never caught a snook. What a charge to catch a nice snook on the first cast with Captain Tyler! We caught several more that day. I would highly recommend fishing with Tyler. I hope to catch my first tarpon with him soon. John D.

Unfortunately that’s really difficult to do, most so not like to have more than 2-3 on the boat anyways. Off the top of my head, I do not know of anyone who could fill those spots.
