Cabin 6 -- St. Joseph Peninsula State Park

The Cabins are lovely at St. Joe. However, you need to approach the cabins as if you are getting to camp with a Kitchen, bath and air conditioning! They accommodate 7, but I would say you would need to have some children as part of that 7. It would be very tight with 7 adults, and you should all know... More

The park looks much like the surrounding areas in Cape San Blas. The roads run a long way which would make for some good biking. Walking is largely limited to the beaches and a few paths which give you good water views but not much else. The cabins looks fantastic from the outside, if they are as nice inside, that... More

This is a very charming location if you are looking for a quiet get-away. It really did seem to be "the forgotten coast" while we were there as there were not many people around and many of the restaurants and shops were closed for the weekend. Those that were open were interesting and made the trip better.

Beautiful beach that was not crowded and even had room to spread out to do some surf fishing. Nice short hiking trails that were easy for the kids to enjoy. Did have some issues with biting flies at sunset but that's not unexpected during the summer in Florida. Will definitely return for another family vacation!

Our group rented bikes and rode into this park. Views were very nice. Quiet and peaceful at this time of year.

We've been coming to this park for 25 years--it never disappoints! The beaches are pristine, the inland area is remote and wild, and the Bay is full of marine life. The boat launch area has a dock and kayak/canoe rentals as well as a small store and RR facilities. You can walk from the Gulf-side beach to the Bay in... More

My family spent three nights in December in one of the cabins. We would definitely return for a future winter visit, but let me mention some pros and cons of the cabin: Cons: 1.) Not suitable for more than 5. There is only kitchen area seating for 3 (and that is stretching it) even though there are 4 chairs. There... More

St. Joseph Peninsula State Park covers the 6-mile tip of Cape San Blas and offers fabulous outdoor recreation along a remote stretch of the Gulf of Mexico coast. You can stroll miles of sugar-white beach looking for shells, surf-fish, swim in the Gulf, snorkel or paddle in St. Joe bay, and picnic under the pines. I especially enjoyed several miles... More

Worth the time to walk around both the beach side and the bay side. I only gave it a 4 because they don't allow dogs on the beach.
