Don't even waste your time! This is what you will see if you waste your time driving out there. This picture was taken at 1:00 PM on October 13th, 2021. They only cater to groups of 10 that book in advance. This business must be surviving off of a trust or something as they are only interested in the big, easy to get money and not the business that shows up and knocks on the door. So if you think you are going to take your family of four out for a boat ride in the swamp and see some wild gators ...NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!

Two hour kayak rental for group of six. Saw great blue heron multiple times, an owl, alligators, salt water mullet jumping the entire trip, turles and air plants. Unspoiled natural area to enjoy an old Florida feeling. Staff were friendly and helpful. Affordable pricing. We enjoyed the paddle very much!

We rented two kayaks for the four of us and paddled west on Spruce Creek. We saw no one else on the water, except a heron, turtle and a very large alligator who stayed on the bank. The vegetation was lush, the water almost black, and the atmosphere was idyllic. We felt like the first people to go this way. Paddling was easy, the current isn’t strong.
The company provided life jackets, great advice, and help getting into the Kayaks.
On returning, we made use of the very clean restrooms, which included showers, which we didn’t need. The property includes several chickens and peacocks which entertained us with their antics. Pontoon rides and rental canoes are also available. We plan to return with 99 year old grandma for the pontoon ride.

For a reasonable charge you can rent single or 2 person kayaks here and see what the backwaters of Florida's east central region look like. The entrance to the business is not well marked. Traveling down the lane makes you think you are heading into private property but you are rewarded in the end. The waters are black from all the leaves that decay. You can travel upstream easily (as there is virtually no current) to a point were it is impassable. Going downstream you encounter egrets flying in front of you and turtles basking in the sun on logs. You can travel on Spruce Creek to(under) I-95 and beyond. The business is a learning center as well. When we were there they had school children on a boat tour. Good family place to experience.

Nice boat tour of Cracker Creek. Very knowledgeable guide. Tours run on weekends. The owners also run summer camp programs, which would be great for kids.

Cracker Creek recreational area, is a hidden gem near Port Orange, Fl. They offer picnic areas that will accommodate small to large crowds. You can rent single and double kayaks for a reasonable fee. On my kayak trip on Cracker Creek I saw turtles and small gators. They also offer a sightseeing tour on a pontoon boat for those that dont want to do the labor of paddling on their own. They do accept reservations for their rentals and tours.

I love Cracker Creek! Brought many people here to learn how to kayak over the years in the gentle, real Florida atmosphere creek. The owners are very helpful and knowledgeable.

Spent Mother's Day on the river in a canoe! Best Mother's Day ever. The river was peaceful and relaxing. Only a few people on the river, everyone wishing each other a happy Mother's Day! It was a great day!
