Nice Quiet Beach

Not really busy, no waves, water brackish and can be chilly in the winter. People friendly and close by.

This beach looks out at the harbor-or bay area. It was set up as a beach because Port Charlotte is quite a ways from the beach, I guess. Sand area that they picture is between a grassy area with some palm trees and a sea wall. This is not the Gulf of Mexico, so please do not be disappointed. This... More

my day at Port Charlotte Beach Park was nice. The water was off color due to recent issues in other locations. However, the beach was clean with nice picnic tables and some shade trees. The beach is a bit shallow but was not an issue because the crowd was minimal. most folks were at the pool, just feet away. there... More

I believe there is a charge to park. There is very little beach. When we lived there we either went to Englewood beach or to Siesta beach Sarasota. It would be a good place to picnic. Not a good place to swim.

Amazing park, very clean! Love the bbq pits and piers to walk out on. Very beautiful park to watch the sunset! Free to walk around the beach area, but have to pay for parking.

On a visit this week with a pre-teen, we found the pool at this park to be very well maintained and manned by a crew of excellent life guards who were serious about their jobs. I found that they were responsible not only for guarding the swimmers but also for pool maintenance, first aid equipment and bathhouses. They all have... More

It's a quiet little beach.. The water was reddish Brown but clear. I wouldn't recommend swimming there. I love the fact that there were grills to cook on..

What a beautiful space. Located on the Peace River/Charlotte Harbor, this park has many amenities including rest rooms, pavilions, a swimming pool, playground, boat ramps, and a beach! Wonderful scenery and wildlife. Fish off the fishing pier! You can also rent kayaks. We launched our paddle boards here and had a great day!! If you are looking for a real... More

Of course, I'm starting the obvious in a joking manner. You'd have to be crazy to swim here, in the filthy bacteria filled peace river. I might let my dog go in if there weren't alligators. If you want to picnic, kayak, or play tennis that's awesome. Also there is a public pool here.
