The picture shows a beach but there is only a little bit of sand there. The park is right on Charlotte Harbor which is brackish water so you don't really want to swim in it since it is dark brown and shallow. They have a public pool to use that is ok if you are looking for a place to... More

We enjoyed our day at the Beach. Although the weather was a little cool when we were there. The beach was very clean.

This is a clean and relaxing place. I appreciate a lovely park with a nice beach. But if you want a serious beach you might be disappointed. There are life guards at the pool , and clean restrooms. What a lovely day on the small beach. If you are in Port Charlotte make it a destination. We saw fish flying... More

This could have been a nice beach. We paid for parking, then found the beach to be seriously in need of cleaning up.

While visiting Port Charlotte, I wanted to visit a beach. Found this place and what a dump. The toilets were gross. (the womens toilet was locked, the mens was open but should have been locked-I told my husband I'll "hold it" until we find another place. Didn't stay more than 2 minutes before I had enough. And they want you... More

This local beach park has a pool, kayak rentals and a boat ramp. Good park for kids. The beach seems clean but if you are expecting clean, clear ocean water, you will be disappointed. I was expecting nice, clear water but was disappointed to find dark, brackish water. But if you just want to sit in a beach chair with... More

Nice place to have a beer on the beach and also a shaded picnic area to eat. You have to pay for parking and there is also a community pool you have to pay to use.

I have been going to this beach on and off for years, and when I recently went WOW it has changed so much. I believe, and defiantly for the better.

Staying in Punta Gorda and usually we make the drive to Boca Grand. Kids are 10 and 8 so we wanted to hit the beach but only for an hour or two and didn't want to make the long drive. This was PERFECT! Park RIGHT by the beach, easy to haul chairs and umbrellas! Bathroom right there and shady trees!... More
