There are 2 courses this one and The Dye Valle which he played the day before.
You cannot fault this course it is stunning - we came over from the UK to tick this one of the bucket list and no it’s not cheap we paid USD 700 dollars plus tax and at times it is more expensive than that.
However the disappointment for me was that although my husband got to play because he was teamed up with members they preferred to play the back 9 twice rather than all 18 holes, not sure if I can say this is ticked off the bucket list of not as he never got to play the full course very disappointing.
There is a lovely club house where they serve a good selection of food reasonably price - we had a nice meal and the staff were lovely.

My husband played in a gold tournament and loved the golf course. It was a great experience for him. The clubhouse was so beautiful. I was given a tour…of clubhouse. The guide gave us the history of all the beautiful painting of the champion players Tiger Wood, Jack Nicklaus, etc…
The Sunday brunch at the clubhouse was amazing…Service was excellent as well.

The stadium course layout and quality are simply superb. It is much more beautiful in person than it looks on television. Each hole is unique and memorable. Even the practice ground has lush turf. The clubhouse is gorgeous.
But the big downside is the lack of marshals on the course to move along the slow players. Having to wait 15 minutes to hit every shot ruins what could have been a superb day. There were 4 foursomes backed up on each hole (including the par 3 17th). Those conditions killed all the enjoyment. We couldn’t wait to finish and leave.
Caddies usually help move things along but nobody wanted to jeopardize their tips, so they weren’t going to make any waves.

I've played many many golf courses but this 1 is truly amazing . Only Kingsbarns beats it . Wonderful surroundings, great clubhouse , friendly and very helpful staff . Joined up to make a 4 ball with buggies and obligatory forecaddie ( $40 plus per player ) . Course was in amazing condition. Getting ready for TPC championship. Whole experience is just wow. Everything perfect . I'd say put it on your bucket list. 4 hr 10 min round was good pace . A very memorable experience.

Two years in waiting due to covid, but well worth the wait.16 of us travelled from Bristol UK to play the iconic Players and the Dye course. We stayed at the Marriott hotel on site 5 star for 2 nights.Day one we played the Dye course one of the best ive played but still the big one to come the next day.
Woke up early on the monday full of excitement and we were disappointed, the course was in superb condition having held the Players championship the week before, everything still in place grandstands etc, you have to have a forecaddie between your 4ball $50 each but well worth it, for ball spotting and more importantly reading the putts on the greens, we had the same caddie for our 2 rounds a man called Doug, from st augustine a really nice man,,.When we got to the 17 unfortunately i found the water, but one of the group nailed a 40ft downhill putt for a 2, highlight of the week
overall a great trip and a must play course in you lifetime. Cannot give it enough stars Go play it

It‘s a great feeling to golf at the TPC Sawgrass. Stadium Course is in great shape and of course challenging. Hole #17 is the highlight. The starter gives you a little tag as a gift where you can grave in your name and your score on the island green. Very nice gesture! A bit surprisingly is the fact, that the golf carts are a bit worn out and have no automatic breaks considering the price for a green fee. I‘d come back for The Players and a round of golf anytime for sure.

TPC Sawgrass was on my golf “Bucket List” for awhile. Happy to check this off! What a nice well maintained course. From the time we showed up each morning to have breakfast prior our round, we were treated like members of an exclusive Country Club. The employees were excellent and very helpful. I know they get tipped, and I hope everyone does, because they are well worth it! You are required to have a fore caddie for your foursome. Ours was Shane and I highly recommend requesting him. Very knowledgeable of the course and very helpful as to where your tee shots need to be placed, and how to putt some very tricky and fast greens. The Pro Shop was stocked well and the prices were comparable to back home. I highly recommend playing here if you like to play nice courses.

Amazing day!! Everyone made us feel so comfortable and welcome. Our caddy Garret was amazing. Golf exceeded our expectations. Triple bogey at 17 was not surprising. Best day ever.

I played golf at the Stadium course on a warm, sunny day in early January. The cost is expensive, but the course is in great condition and everything is first class. The fore caddie was very helpful. The course has a lot of sand and water so you need to hit the ball straight. You should enjoy it even if you don't score well. It's certainly worth playing it once for any golf enthusiast.

An iconic golf course that did not disappoint. Very tough for an average golfer like me but great to play the same holes as the golf pros. Final three holes a treat. Birdied the 16th ! Missed the green at the 17th!. Overall wonderful

HI! I will be buying tickets to the Players Championship for my husband's 40th birthday and I was wondering if you had any tips on where to stay, ticket packages I should get, etc?
Thank you!

Anyone been recently and know if they currently allow walking and are walking caddies available?
Written April 15, 2021
Yes they have carts and you have a forecaddie. The only thing is they do not allow the carts off the path unless you are a member.

Hi,
Playing in 3 weeks at the Stadium course. I believe a forecaddie is included with our cart. I just wanted to know what the average tipping fee is for them. Having not used one before this is a new experience so just wanted to make sure i got it right. Thanks

Hi I played there last week. Apparently the caddy gets $10pp from the green fee. Recommended tip was $25pp. We had Conor.. he was good...so $140 from our 4ball. Hope that helps Rob

Hi we are playing sawgrass at the end of the month just want to know can we walk the course and carry our own golf bags.
Written October 31, 2018
Yes, you can get a caddie and walk. If you get a cart they give you fore caddie.
Written February 27, 2019
I haven't played golf in a long while but would love to walk the course, is this permitted?
I will be in the area around June 22nd?
Written May 16, 2017
I don't think so. However..park and go in the clubhouse. They give tours and will bring you out to a couple of holes . Including 17. You can also have lunch in the back terrace behind the 18th green. Lovely and I don't think over priced.

My husband and I are are coming to Sawgrass to watch the golf in May my husband is super excited I just wondered can we take in folding chairs and what is the dress code ie collars/t shirts and can I take in my purse ? thank you in advance . Angie
Written April 16, 2017
Hi :)
The walk is pretty long from the gates to where you would set your chair, but yes people do bring them. The purse is fine, it can't be too big and no backpacks. It's usually pretty hot so you will see lots of sun dresses and men do wear golf shirts, but no dress code required.
Have fun !

We're going to Stadium Friday & forecaddie is included. We have a letter saying a double bag caddie would be about $30 per person or single caddie $40. Anyone use a caddie? Price? DO you have to use their golf bag (small ones) ~ Thanks!
Written February 26, 2017
No you don't have to use their golf bags. Using a caddie is fun but I use a cart with a caddie.
Written September 16, 2017
No you don't have to have a caddie or forecaddie. Just make the pro shop team aware that you do not wish to have one and they will make the arrangements.

Curious about Sat or Sunday TPC attendance, Tickets are a little more expensive on Sat? also if we just attend on Sunday, is it a rush for stadium / hill seating? - and anything else you can recommend/observations - like restrooms locations and availability - can we walk the course and then get into position in the stadium area? - food ? pricing - beer? should we take a towel/blanket to sit on? or umbrella for shade etc... Thanks for all your responses ahead of time ! - MD
Written September 14, 2016
They are more expensive Sat and Sun. The tickets sell out fast for the seating you are asking about. It's best to plan and get them as soon as you can. TPC is a very popular event. There are restrooms in several locations on grounds that are kept very clean. There are usually different kinds of areas you can choice from when getting your tickets. It just depends on what you want.
