Drive by it all the time and finally got to enjoy. We travel all over the country to hike and just found this beautiful gem in our backyard. Quiet and beautiful. Exceptionally well kept and untouched. Great day in the park

We enjoyed a late morning walk through Fern Forest Park. Lots of plants in bloom and we identified all of the ferns on their list. The shade was lovely!!

Who Knew!!! Till I read a paragraph in a book I gifted to someone on the History of Broward County I had no clue that this 243 plus acre forest was right in our backyard! This place is a MUST if you are a outdoor lover and enjoy breathing in all Mother Nature has to offer. There is an information... More

We were looking for someplace to take an exercise level walk. We noticed Fern Forest one day riding by so decided to give it a try. While it's really not what we were looking for exercise wise it was a very nice walk into a neat little nature preserve. We got lucky as there were only a few insects that... More

I took a solo walk through the nature center with my Nikon and zoom lens. I enjoyed the foliage and serenity alon the path. There were several visitors, and the boardwalk made this center suitable for people with canes, walkers, and even wheelchairs. I did not give it a 5 since I did not see any of the natural habitat... We decided to check out this park on a day that was too windy for the beach. It was a good choice. We like to geocache and there are several in this park and we found a few. Had a bit of trouble finding the park at first. I went to their website and clicked on directions. It took us... More

The park was a small patch of land nestled in between the developed areas around. There's supposed to be all sorts of animals there but we didn't see any besides bugs. The ferns are stunning to look at, I found out that one actually grows on trees. The visitor center definitely needs a remodel, many of the stuffed animals and... More

I walked through the Fern Forest on my last vacation to Pompano Beach two years ago and returned again this past week with my friend. It is a wonderful opportunity to view nature up close away from traffic and commercial activity. We walked along the well-maintained trex boardwalk with railing a few feet above the ground. One find trails throughout... More
