The pier is being rebuilt after the storms of hurricane sandy and demolition work is ongoing the new Pier plans look good and will be worth returning when it’s completed in 2019

Enjoyed the pier almost every morning, preferably with a cup of coffee! Walk the pier and feel the atmosphere of a great summer morning. Away from the stressful life, alone or with my wife we enjoyed this beautiful spot with great pleasure.

We went to this beach because of the Pier. We wanted to see it and walk over it to take pictures, maybe fish with the kids. When we arrived, we found it closed, machines breaking the foundations and just "BEWARE" signs everywhere! Too bad there...More

They're tearing down the old pier... any day now... and replacing it with a very nicely designed one. There are multiple new shops and food establishments around this area now as well.

Sadly, the pier is now closed and is being torn down. The new pier is scheduled to be finished in late 2019, but who knows.... It also, in all likelihood, will no longer have free access.
