- Chris D1 contributionJanuary 13-14The course was in "good" condition. I played "West" on Saturday and "East" on Sunday. I am a 22 handicap and lost 6 balls in 2 days so about average. But this is not a $200 course. I can play courses in Greenville, SC for less than $100 in similar condition. Staff was helpful and courteous. Not a memorable experience.Hi Chris, Thank you for your review. We always want to hear from our guests and it's good to know our staff members were on top of their game. That's a high priority for us! We are sorry you feel you didn't get your money's worth but our prices are commensurate with the South Florida golf environment. We understand there are other regions of the country where golfers feel they get a better bargain on their round, but for better or worse, South Florida is considered THE winter golf destination on the East Coast and Jacaranda Golf Club is reviewed as one of the best- if not the best- semi-private club in South Florida. Jacaranda was in good shape. Greens rolling better than some private courses. Proshop staff and starters enthusiastic. Outside operations friendly. Tee boxes and fairways reasonable. Expensive for non residents. Played both West and East course. Would play again in the future. Gotta love Florida golf with the wide fairways. We look like PGA pros practically. Bathroom facilities on the course were clean which is always a plus. The one “ding” do to speak is the $5 charge for a 50 count bucket of range balls to warm up for your course that I’m in playing on. When the cost for the afternoon round is $169/golfer, why am I paying for range balls? It should be complimentary. I get it at the smaller municipal courses but not at a course that wants the appearance and close experience to a private club. Is it a return? Would certainly play again. My only ding would be the lack of water stations on the course. You are right the heat has been dreadful- and earlier than expected- this year. We try to remind guests to fill up on water and ice at the free water station before they go out, but it goes fast in this weather! You should also see the beverage cart service at least twice over 9 holes. They have water and a host of other beverages available for thirsty players. - Tung N1 contributionUnprofessional rangerThe staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our outing there. However we had a group of three and the club sent a young man behind us. He asked to join us and we welcome him to play with us. Then the ranger came up and look upset. He said in a grouchy voice- you can only have two carts not three for each group. We told him what happened and this guy still act like we did something wrong. Until the young kid went over and told him the same damn thing. Then this grupy ranger told to move on. Not even an apologize. We went on to play but felt we were treated so unprofessionally. Just wanted the club to know this.Thank you for taking time to leave us your feedback. It is important we hear about every guest experience, positive and negative. We are glad to hear the staff was, in general, helpful and friendly but we take it very seriously when someone falls short of the expectation. If you can tell us what day/time you played and which course, we will address the situation immediately. Played 2 rounds at Jacaranda while staying in the area. Played the East course 1st day and with 2 locals and had a great day besides the on and off rain theough the round. Course is long and a good challenge but fairly forgiving if wayward off the tee. Greens were excellent and a nice consistent speed. Played West course on 2nd day and a much more challenging layout, in grat condition and well designed. Had rain on 1st 2 holes but rest of round was clearly but fairly windy which made the round a good test...would definitely play again.
Proshop and staff were friendly and helpful and would highly recommend Jacaranda for anyone looking to play golf in Plantation area

Jacaranda Golf Club is a well maintained Club, great facilities, golf shop, instructors, restaurant. The golf courses are both in great shape well maintained. The green fees are reasonable, the weather is fabulious. There are some tourists, but majority of players are middle aged to older locals. I enjoyed breakfast and the coffee was hot strong and black.

Been playing here for years. Made a tee time, showed up with a friend who was out of state for awhile. When we got there we discovered they want you to share a cart. If you feel that is not safe they want an additional $45 from you for a separate cart. We asked to see the manager twice to discuss as we were never told of this at the time we made the t time. The manager never came out to see us.
Also, I asked several times for them to clean up the cart I was going to use. When I came out from the club house the cart I was going to use was never cleaned.

From out of state and played 9 holes yesterday before storm hit. Course was decent but overpriced. Went inside to get raincheck for remaining 9 holes. Pro shop attendant gave me a $38 credit for raincheck. Called today to schedule to finish my rain makeup of nine holes. Attendant told me that I had to pay for another 18 holes and he would subtract the $38 credit because they do have a 9 hole rate. I asked how I could just finish playing the 18 holes I paid for which was 9 holes remaining. Was told I had to pay for the 18 again.
Many other courses I’ve played are fair and are more than accommodating and welcome you back to finish your round that you paid for. This is the way it should be, especially with an even 9 hole remaining. I would not recommend playing here unless you are positive you can finish your overpriced round with out weather delays. I guess where I’m from, the courses are more understanding and want you have a good experience at their facilities.

Thank you for taking the time to post feedback about your recent visit to Jacaranda. Customer experience is very important to us and is always disappointing to learn a guest left unsatisfied. Rainchecks are prorated based on the number of holes completed until the 12th hole is played (meaning a guest may hold a raincheck for as few as 6 holes and as many as 17). Given the amount of wet weather we receive during the summer months and the number of rainchecks we issue, we would be unable to monitor guests returning to play the number holes they did not complete. I played here over holiday break and enjoyed the experience. A bit about me. Index is a 7, member of a private club in Denver, thus I am used to excellent course conditions and notice all the details. Now to the course review.
The good: Fairways are in mostly good condition. There are a few spots that need some TLC, but the course recently had a make over so some areas are expected to be in questionable condition. The greens are in excellent condition. They rolled true and held a good approach shot. The green speed was good and not too slow like many other public courses. Also, I thought the layout was fair and interesting, but still a reasonable test of skills.
The not so good: Finding a patch of grass at the driving range where the staff set up golfers was a challenge. Frankly, they placed us in the most beat up part of the range. There were plenty of pristine areas to use on the range, thus it felt like they were saving those for someone special. Given that they charge $10 for a small bucket of balls and the green fee was on the pricy side, that was very disappointing. Over all, i would return and play here again.

Here for a week of sun and golf in October. Played the East course, which was a good course with open fairways, low rough, and good greens that are varied, and solid, but not glass-like. Very playable. Course was not crowded that day, which made it wonderful, and we finished 18 holes in 3 hours. Ranger found us at 7 holes and told us that our cart was low on battery and they would have a new one for us ready at the turn. Johnny at the bag drop was incredibly helpful and generous with suggestions for area attractions, including other golf courses to play.
There's a true sense of wanting to help and please the guests here.
Husband bore a hole in his shorts pocket from too may tees/wallet/keys jammed in it and found a replacement in the pro-shop after a trip to the mall failed to succeed.
The West Course is supposed to be a more beautiful course than the East, a bit shorter, but prettier. Will try that next.

The renovation of the east course has provided a more challenging opportunity for an enjoyable round, but still retains the beauty of the natural environment. More importantly, the staff is friendly, accommodating and everyone appears genuinely interested in doing anything needed to create an enjoyable experience. From the desk personnel at the pro shop to the baggage handlers to the starter and to the course marshals, they demonstrate that they value the members and guests.

Did my annual trip to Miami and had to play Jacaranda. Really enjoyed the day at the west course. It’s really well kept, high quality from tee to green. Given the extremely high amount of rain that hit the area in December I was really surprised to see how good the condition was.
The topper for me was I left a six iron the course. I live in NJ and didn’t notice it was missing until I went to the range to practice. I called them and they quickly confirmed they had it and shipped the next day. Much appreciated!
Keep the course in mind next time you head down there. Played most of the publics down there and there really isn’t a better deal price and quality wise.
