- Leona M4 contributionsGreat place for those future Paleontologists!I finally had the opportunity to take my grandson, who is all about dinosaurs and already proclaiming his desire to become a paleontologist, to visit the Dinosaur World. The excitement he had as he seen each dinosaur in its habitat surrounding and reading the dinosaur's facts placard was a clear indicator that this place was the absolute "coolest" for kids to visit! The view from I-4 does no justice for this hidden treasure. Due to the pandemic, the prices have been reduced and some areas (i.e. playgrounds & fossil digging) are closed. However, there are a plethora of dinosaur displays to see!Visited August 2020Written January 5, 2021
- travelingstar55Sedona, Arizona118 contributionsSurprisingly Nice!!!We've been driving by this place for 20 years and always thought it was just some cheesy Florida roadside attraction so never bothered to stop. Boy were we wrong. Upon a suggestion from a friend we took our 3 & 5 yr old grandsons there and we pleasantly surprised at how nice it is. Beautifully landscaped and very clean it has 2 playgrounds, one for smaller kids and one for bigger kids. We did a fossil dig, which was included in the price of our general admission tickets and walked around the entire park on the lush boardwalks. We also packed a picnic lunch since there is NO FOOD SERVICE. We'd rather bring lunch than pay high prices for poor food anyway. Overall the boys had a good time. We spent about 2.5 hrs there which was the appropriate amount of time for our 2 little ones. It is also pet friendlyVisited January 2020Written January 26, 2020
- Jemilla TJacksonville, Florida156 contributionsDinosaurs Galore!Great place to visit for any kiddos that love dinosaurs. There are many different dinosaurs to see and they are placed within an environment that would depict during their existence. Most of the walking paths are shaded by trees which is great on a hot Florida day. There are different picnic areas where you can enjoy some resting time. The gem excavation area was really nice. I felt the bags were overpriced as well as their gift shop but it seems to be really fun for kids and parents alike. The Fossil Dig area was closed during our time, not sure if it will be opening back up. The Museum has nice artifacts and there are some animatronic dinosaurs that are okay for kids. They could really do with an upgrade to be more realistic in my opinion. It's very easy to get to the location and there is ample parking. We would definitely visit again since my son loves dinosaurs.Visited November 2021Written November 15, 2021
- Christina LWellington, Florida38 contributionsLots of fun!My 5 year old had a blast! The playground was very nice and clean, and had lots of picnic tables nearby. The dinosaur statues were neat, and each had a plaque nearby with the name of the dinosaur and information about it. The indoor museum had fossils to look at and some animatronic dinosaurs at the end. My son enjoyed the museum so much we went through it twice. The gem mining cost extra but it was worth it. The fossil dig was also fun- my son found a few shark teeth.Visited March 2020Traveled with familyWritten March 3, 2020
- bodhi_samOrlando, Florida264 contributionsGreat little park for Dino loversIf you’re looking for a nice little outing for kids and adults who love Dinos, this is worth a visit. It’s small, but we’ll kept and has a ton of life size Dino sculptures. The cost is nothing compared to the surrounding theme parks and you can easily and leisurely get through in a few hours. We loved it for an entertaining afternoon walk.Visited April 2021Traveled as a coupleWritten April 13, 2021
- Ashten B1 contributionOkKinda disappointed everything looked very unrealistic and they only had 3-4 dinos that moved there heads and made noise. It was pretty expensive for the experience we spent an hour or so there definitely wouldn’t come back. If it was like 10 bucks a person then maybe but 70$ for two adults and one child definitely not worth it.Visited August 2021Traveled with familyWritten August 24, 2021
- Taylor P3 contributionsGreat fun for the whole family! This was the coolest little Attraction! We stopped off for gas on the way to Clearwater and saw it across the street and figured we would wait out the rain there. I am so glad we did! It was affordable and just as much fun as any other activities we did in Florida including universal studios! Lots of activities and meat things to see. Just make sure to bring big spray!Visited July 2020Traveled with familyWritten July 23, 2020

Tons of dinosaur statues to check out. The museum has some neat items that let you know how big or little some of these dinosaurs were. There is a playground also. Takes about an hour and a half to get through including time for the playground.Visited April 2021Traveled with familyWritten April 3, 2021
- Chad2014Gainesville, Florida224 contributionsA bunch of giant dino statuesSo this place is pretty simple. It's got a dinosaur playground, tons of large dinosaur statues, and ~3 interactive exhibits. The staff was great. If you've got a small child who is obsessed with Dinosaurs, this place is amazing. If you don't, this place would be pretty lame. Over a year later my five year old still asks to go back, she loved it, so I loved it.Visited February 2020Traveled with familyWritten January 12, 2021

A bit disappointed that they charged full price during Covid when all their interactive exhibits where closed, but it was still very enjoyable and I love that it's dog friendly. I was also impressed with the exhibit quality, I thought this would be corny but it was great!Visited April 2021Traveled with familyWritten April 16, 2021

5/8/21 - Beware, over 1/2 the attractions are not open!!! There are no signs to tell you this except for a 4x6 laminated to the counter posting in small print they fail to mention after charging the admission fee. They draw no attention to it and hope you miss it amongst the screaming children with you. It was a sad event and I am sure these 'closed' areas could have been opened if they had staff but thanks to unemployment, no one wants to work and therefore they are lazy to have a fully operational attraction. Sorry folks, but you deserved this review

Dinosaur World is different from other dinosaur parks because the jungle environment makes it look like you are actually back in time. Some statues might need to be repainted, but to me, it doesn't matter. I still like the designs of each creature, even though some might not be realistic. This park is a good place to spot nature, too.

Took our 2.5 & 1yr olds and they had a blast! A nice easy walk for kids to get energy out while looking at some cool dinosaurs. Ended the day with playing at the park after having our lunch. I don’t understand the bad reviews; were people shocked the dinosaurs were fake? The only thing I can say is I wish they had a nice green space to sit near the play areas. It’s shaded picnic tables on concrete so not really the best for littles that want to crawl around. Otherwise it was great! We upgraded to annual passes so we can bring the kids a few more times and after a couple of visits it pays for itself. If you have an imagination, love dinosaurs (and have realistic expectations) you likely will enjoy it.

Interested in having a small birthday party. About 8 guests, kids and adults. We know to bring the food and cake of course, Is there a pavillion with picnic tables or an air conditioned area with tables available. Do you accept reservations?

I don’t know if a senior citizen can receive a double discount. Maybe the best thing is to call them and ask.

Do older kids have fun? My daughter is a teenager, and a Dino lover. Just wondering if it is “cool” or seems to impress just little ones?

This is really geared for the younger kids. Our 14 year old grandson came with us when we took our 4 year old grandson. He was just glad his younger brother had fun.

It is very close to Orlando and we got discounted tickets while in Orlando out of a coupon book that we had picked up from one of the Resturants that we ate at (golden Corral).
Someone gave me tickets to dinosaur world over a year ago and I never used them. Do they expire?
Also can I take a child although the ticket says adult on it?
marshmitchell
Daytona Beach, FL142 contributions
I dont think they expire and I know they do not care about a Child using an Adult ticket because the Adult Ticket cost more. I suggest you call ahead.
Can you bring food
Aaron G
Duluth, GA28 contributions
Yes, as it is encouraged with the picnic settings
