I stopped by this welcome visitor's center and was very impressed. It looks new and very clean. The brochure display was neat and orderly. The volunteer was very nice, polite and helpful with her maps and suggestions. It was too chilly to walk to the beach but the beach looked beautiful. I would highly recommend going to this visitor center in Pensacola.

It is worth the time to stop in and find out what to do & see if you are not familiar with the area.
The young man we meet was very helpful and engaging. He is a good ambassador to the city.

We went to the visitor center originally to get more information on a geo tour. When we arrived we found fresh made lemonade, and it was free! (It was delicious too!)

We also found two very friendly ladies at the front desk. Both were very accommodating and super friendly. We gathered the information we needed to begin our geo tour, which for those of you that don't know what that is, it has to do with geocaching, and we headed out. We returned later with a question, and returned the next day with another question, and finally returned the third day with the paperwork they required to complete our tour. For completing it, we were giving many awesome prizes. Where now a days do you get something of value for nothing? Well here at the Pensacola Visitor's Center, of course!! (Nice geocoin. Thank you very much "Pensacola Penny".)

The place was also full of brochures and pamphlets and booklets and maps and all kinds of other stuff about local happenings and places. The restrooms are very clean and well lit. Definitely a nice little break from all the hubbub of Pensacola.

A good stop to make plus it is just by the coast. Ample parking around, and picnic areas. The friendly pelican is a good photo op, had a few free gifts too

Stopped there in the middle of a bad trip to the coast - wet weather, rough water, red flags on the beach, dolphin watching trip was cancelled so when we drove past the visitors' center to find out what else might be going on. Older lady behind the counter told us everything was closed (this was about 3 on a Sunday afternoon) and started laughing, I was trying to tell her how our trip was going and asking how we might salvage some of it and to her it was just humorous as all get out.

We walked away from her, drove around downtown in the rain (yes, everything was closed), went back to our condo, and got out of there the next morning. Good that we got to brighten someone's day, though.

We did the visitor center's geocaching tour of the city. There are 23 geocaches to find -- in historic spots, along the beach and in state parks.

It was a wonderful way to learn about the area and it took us to places we would not have known about if we didn't participate.

When you find the geocaches, you write down a code on a "passport" and when you complete the tour you bring it back for a geocaching prize!

This is one of the nicest visitors centers we've ever stopped at. It is easy to get to, clean and fun! There are areas for the kids, things to do, and picnic areas overlooking Pensacola Bay, so if you've had a long drive, it's a great place to take a break! They are well informed on any type of activity you might be interested in.
