We booked this tour because with advanced notice, they can get you on the Navy base to see the Naval Aviation museum AND the Pensacola light house (since the base is currently closed to civilians, this is a way to get there).
Thoroughly enjoyed the lighthouse but the allotted 30 minutes is not enough time there should be an hour to climb the top AND see the museum plus gift shop.
The aviation museum is , well, amazing if you have any affection for aviation and the military. Our tour guide was trying but what was important "must sees" to him may not be for everyone. Get a map when you enter and look for what YOU want to see first. Again, although you are there for a while it is not enough time to see everything. In my opinion a lot of time was lost with Go Retro's guided tour.
Overall, I recommend this tour and would do it again.

Due to COVID, access to the NAS was restricted, but we found this tour offered by Go Retro, that provides credentialing and veteran tour guides to provide access and guided tours of the Lighthouse and Naval Aviation Museum. The lighthouse provided a fantastic view of the bay and aircraft flying out of Spencer Field. Great place to watch F-18s doing touch and go and high-G takeoff and turnout maneuvers. The tour was provided with two guides, John, a Coast Guard veteran who knew the history of both the station, and the aircraft on exhibit in the museum very well. Noah, the second guide, a local who also knew much of the local history and well versed on NAS Pensacola as well. An excellent value, for transport, access fees to the lighthouse, and credentialed access to the base during current base visitor restrictions.

This was a nice tour that provided a good overview of what there is to see and do in Pensacola but, this is not a hop on hop off tour. You're given a narrated tour of the high points of the city and then offered an opportunity to be taken back to any of the areas that were drive through and then able to call to have the driver come back to pick you up any time before 4PM. The driver/guide was very informative/interesting, and the tour takes about an hour to complete. After the tour was complete, we opted to drive our personal vehicle back into a central location and then just walk from there.

Had a nice time. Leeroy was great. Full of great information. I was a little skeptical at 1st being from out of state with so much scamming going on these days but I highly recommend Go Retro and would use them agai if I'm ever back in the area. Don't hesitate us this company. Thank you Go Retro for a great day.

Robert, our tour guide was very enthusiastic and took his time giving the tour. We did the entire route, starting and ending at the Go Retro offices, parking our car there (note: there aren't very many available there - 5 at the most when we were there), call ahead to make sure... We got off at Joe Patti's and had our tour Free Gelato. With the tour, you get a wrist band, giving discounts and free offerings at a number of business establishments, including the free gelato.... Go for it and book Go Retro!!

Noah was awesome! He was patient and courteous, and provided explanations.
And I thank Go Retro for its flexibility. I had booked 2 adult tickets for yesterday. But my companion missed his flight. I went on the tour solo yesterday, and Go Retro allowed my companion to make up for the missed experience by going on the 12 noon trip today.

Booked the Naval History Tour for Sunday October 30. No one showed up or answered the phone. Obviously canceled the tour without informing us. Talked with a man this morning (10/31) and he said they had to cancel the tour. Well maybe inform people. He said they wouldn’t return my money. I would be hesitant to use this company again!

Wrong: Refund sent on Oct. 12, Email cancelling the tour sent on Oct 12, Staff spoke to someone explaining that the tour was being cancelled on Oct 12. My staff member never said, "We wouldn't return money." I overheard the conversation. We already had refunded your money. I'm sorry your version doesn't match reality!

My brother and I did a tour of the Pensacola Lighthouse and naval museum. It was such a great experience! The tour guides were knowledgeable and showed us things we normally wouldn’t have seen. The base is closed off right now, so this was the only way we could go to the lighthouse and museum. When I climbed the lighthouse, there were only 3 other people there outside of our tour group. Our group had 5 people in it, including my brother and me. This made for a fantastic day of seeing what we wanted to see.

Its a journey back to a time when the presence of the ladies of the night was common and part of the culture. There appeared to be no PC whitewashing or exaggerations of the factual stories or lifestyles. It was a very informative and quite gritty look at the history of the oldest profession and its characters in Pensacola. I found myself becoming not just interested but empathetic to the ladies in their plight from a respected profession to outcasts and sometimes outlaws. Based on the adult presentations and the humor mixed in at times, I found this all to be very fascinating and informative. I rate it an excellent time and suggest others should also enjoy this very much. Need to mention our host and guide Leroy was very knowledgeable and lots of fun

Tour guide Leeroy did a good job and was very friendly. The bus ride to the fort and light house was filled with a video that had 80% civil war songs (very boring) and only about 20% educational information. The light house stop should be just five minutes longer. We had only enough time to climb the stairs to the top and back down. No time to read the many plaques available or to visit the museum. Finally, The fort was closed. Very disappointing.
