The Oriskany! Awesome experience for the advanced diver. The ship is huge!Lots of photo ops, you will see tons of large AJ, sharks, baracooda, plus the ship itself is laden with coral, and lots of small wildlife. Take it easy the night before and get...More

I personally do not dive but, my son loves it. He and his friends dove at the Oriskany last year and brought home some of the best grouper. He said it was an great experience driving so deep!

This was my first ship wreck dive, so I may be a little too excited about it, however I believe everyone should do this dive. It is really amazing! The wreck is a little too deep - about 120-130 ft, so I would recommend nitrox...More

Had we had been able to see more of this carrier I would have enjoyed my trip more. Three dives out here would be nice.

There are many places to see as a diver in Pensacola but there are two great places to see. The Russian freighter and this. The USS Oriskany is relatively new (3-4 yrs) but a great place to dive especially when the water is perfectly clear.

Amazing Memorial weekend scuba dives on the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany, 23 miles off the Pensacola coast in Florida. The vessel was purposely sunk in 2006 in 250ft of water. The ships island starts at around 80ft down with the flight deck down at 140ft....More

The top of the tower is at 85 feet, so recreational divers can't see much. The tower is also festooned with fishing lines, often the near unbreakable spider wire. Our dive master had to cut me free of the lines with the scissors he carried...More
