I spent an afternoon on the beach here. I walked a lot and viewed the park from a walk over and could see the ICW on on side and the ocean on the other with natural sand dunes all around. The beach is wide, white, soft sand and the water is shallow with a nice sand bar not far out.... More

We are locals and visit Johnson Beach periodically. The facilities are nice, great place to put in kayaks, SUPs and get some fishing in - Gulf or ICW. Recommended.

Johnson Beach is on the west end of the Gulf Islands National Seashore which requires a national parks pass to drive into. It includes a very nice pavilion where tables can be reserved for picnics, a lifeguard station and restrooms. From access near the condominiums at Perdido Key, Johnson Beach can be reached walking along the beach. I walk this... More

Beautiful seas, whitest sand ever - and it squeaks when you walk on it! Easy access, lots of amenities readily available in the area, gorgeous views at sunset - what more do you want for a beach experience? The total package for families and friends, all right nere in Pensacola Florida!

If you are in the Perdido Key, this beach is where you need to go. You can fish, swim, boat, picnic, ride bikes...just about everything and it is gourgious.

This beach is a National Seashore treasure that has an entrance fee. However, it is the perfect place if you want a lovely, beautifully maintained beach with bathrooms and a covered pavilion for picnics. There are lifeguards in this same area and never have I witnessed anything but families enjoying themselves with their children and other people who appreciate respect... More

This beach is one of the whitest and cleanest beach I have visited. It's a very safe place to go for families to enjoy. This beach is not as crowded as Pensacola Beach.

So beautiful! Primitive beach camping an amazing option of you're into that sort of thing. Plenty of parking and pavilions on the beach.

The park and beach were a blast. The day we visited it was not crowded so you were able to spread out and almost have your own private beach. There are sea turtle nest in this area. The first public access has a wash station to get the sand off when you leave. Great area to fly kites.
