We paid $20 to get a beach pass for the car for a week. It was well worth it! Beautiful beach away from the crowds. Restroom, changing area and lifeguards, but no snacks or shops. If you want a lot of elbow room and serenity,...More

Since you have to pay an entrance fee this beach doesn't get nearly as crowded as others. Probably the best spots in the area to launch a kayak for offshore fishing.

Very spacious and the crowd is always just right. It's very clean and there are plenty of walkways to access the shore.

We travel by boat to Johnson Beach but you can also arrive by car with a 7 day pass for a reasonable cost. On one side you have the gulf, while the other side offers the bay. These are beautiful, pristine WHITE beaches.

I suppose the people saying it is not crowded are talking about if you drive down and park at the access points with no restrooms. If you park near the restrooms, it is very crowded. That said, it's a very clean beach. Gorgeous white sand,...More

Not crowded and great fun for the family. Take a cooler with drinks and food since none is available in the park. We take beach chairs and an umbrella and plan to stay all day. Good cheap day for a large family.

We took a family trip to FL. before the school's out rush and this beach was very quiet and people were sparse. Perfect day at the beach until we all got sunburned but we went back before sundown afterwards and it was beautiful! Highly recommended!

Usually they are first come first serve. But if someone is doing a wedding or something you will need to reserve it.
