We spent a couple of hours at Fort Pickens, which was neat for a little day trip with some history. The beaches are beautiful! White sand, blue water, no trash. We saw maybe 10 people the entire time we were at the beach, which was really refreshing after fighting the crowds on Pensacola Beach. $15 to have a gorgeous beach... More

Spent a few hours here and we absolutely loved it. Beautiful water, beautiful sand. Nice drive out to the island only $1 to get over the bridge and it didn't cost anything to park. Plenty of places to find that are out of the way and quit. Can't wait to go back!

My wife and I really enjoyed our week's stay on the Island. We will definitely be back. Much less commercialized than other parts of the Gulf.

This was a great rock band in the evening on the beach with drinks you can bring or buy. Just another free event that was a great band and dancing beachside. The Sunset and walking on the beach at that time was amazing. All with entertainment provided.

Pensacola to Navarre a must drive! Natural beach at it's finest. In June and July drive slowly. Baby birds - terns and skimmer. Areas are roped off. Stay on paths, avoid these areas they are protected for the birds! Beautiful blue water. National Seashore open for all. No condo, no high rises. Just beautiful sand and beach

Pensacola Beach has always been a special, clean and beautiful beach to visit for a day or extended periods. There are many venues to keep a person busy and occupied regardless of likes / dislikes. There are historical, shopping, scenic drives to satisfy almost any visitor. Everything at the beach is clean and trash free. Safety is not an issue... More

Pensacola Beach is best visited from the mornings to around 2 PM to avoid traffic getting to and from the beach unless you are staying on the beach at one of the pricier hotels. Casino Beach, which has nothing to do with a casino, is the public beach and there is ample room for people with wide open views of... More

Sits at the other end of the National Sea Shore - opposite of Pensacola Beach. Less tourists but same type of beach. Less crowds and more locals, than at Pensacola Beach which is very crowded on weekends.
