My girlfriend pressured me into taking this trip and I was reluctant because I was a little nervous. I'd never done any type of diving. However, upon arriving at the dive location (St. Andrews State Park), we met with our instructor and his knowledge quickly eased my trepidation. Our instructor's name was John and he was a very pleasant, personable fellow whose laid-back demeanor puts you at ease. He asked why, specifically, we were nervous and when we told him, he talked us through the reasons we didn't need to worry. In the end, we wound up staying under water for around 45 minutes and saw many interesting shallow water marine creatures. John took short videos of us while we were underwater and, unlike almost every other place in Florida, we did not have to pay to access the videos of us diving. I would highly recommend this company(and specifically John), to anyone who has never done any scuba and wants to learn in a safe, shallow, calm environment where certification is not required. One final thing to note: When we were about to leave the park in our car, it would not start; the battery was dead. Our instructor, John, took it upon himself to drive to his house, pick up his jump starter, drive back to the park, and jumped us off. If that weren't enough, he wouldn't even accept a "tip" for that, just said it was part of being a decent human being. Thanks John!!

I researched introductory scuba tours for 1 adult and 3 children (ages 15, 12, and 9) and chose Diving PCB for their website direct booking special as I wouldn't be out too much if the 9 year old didn't feel up to it. It wound up being just us as the last tour on a Friday and it worked out great. Very important to follow instructions on confirmation email to get app to download underwater video. Location was great as if one of the kids had a problem we were close to the surface and the shore. Instructor covered all the important information prior to, was helpful with the equipment out of and in the water, was patient and good with the kids, and found several interesting items under water to show each of the divers. Be advised there is a bit of a walk with all of your heavy gear on including some stairs. Great experience.

Great 5 hour get away. Take 231 from Eufala Al to Panama City. We went before spring break and the city was very nice. We ate twice at Montego Bay Resturant because food was excellent. Holiday Inn Resort, right on the beach, perfect.

I took our family of five to 'Diving PCB' in July of 2015 (ignore the date listed on Tripadvisor). I was the only one that had done any scuba diving before and it had been a long time. The dive shop was not near the dive site, so after checking in and paying, we had to drive to a nearby state park where a van was waiting on us. I'm not sure what I expected but the van seemed a bit sketchy at first to me. However, I had just laid down $500 and we were going to dive no matter what. Anyway, the site was very nice and the water clear. The instructors that met us were young but obviously knowledgeable. They were friendly, helpful and genuinely enthusiastic about that they were doing. We enjoyed working with them. After familiarization with the equipment, they walked us down to the beach which was part of a protected beach area with very clear water. The 'protected' part consisted of a man-made reef of large boulders in the water that rose above the surface creating a calm, clear area to dive in and have fun. At no time were we left alone or felt unsafe as multiple instructors were in the water with us. The general feeling our family had was that we enjoyed the experience but questioned whether it was worth the money we invested. After fee's and tips, we spent about $550 for a total of 30 minutes or so of dive time before we started running out of air. We allotted several hours including drive time, instruction, familiarization, and finally swim time but the actual time in the water was very short by comparison. You only get one tank... so breathe slowly. The only other issue was that I had been told on the phone that the deepest part of the dive would take us to about 20 feet of water but we never got past 10 feet. All in all, it was fun. We enjoyed it and a couple of the kids fell in love with scuba but I don't see us doing it again due to the expense vs time in the water. You may feel differently if it's only a couple of you but that's just how we felt.

I had such an amazing time. Learned a lot and it was a great time. I cannot wait to go back. My husband and I are thinking about becoming certified the next time. such a great place. Very safe and a comfortable environment.
