Captain is a poor term for Phillip. He is obviously strung out on drugs and I’m quite sure he had drugs in his boat today. He was 2 hours late for an 8 hour trip I booked months ago, then when he got there he still had to get his boat ready. He was pale, sweating, shaking and cussed me out when I told him that we were only paying for a 6 hour trip, he said he will tell me how many hours to pay him for because it’s his boat. Then he went on to tell us that his motor is messed up that if we get started and the motor isn’t acting right he will bring us back, when my husband asked him if he was going to refund our money he became so irate and started cussing everyone in our party and told us to get off his boat! As we were getting off he followed us off and then starting pushing and shoving my husband and nephew and an all out brawl followed! I called 911 and an officer came and we pressed charges and as well I called the coast guard because I feel certain he was drugged out and had drugs on board!! And he was obviously scared of the coast guard because our whole “safety briefing” was what we need to do when the coast guard stops us!! My kids feel that he was going to make us walk the plank!!!!

Absolute worst experience with this charter and Captain Phillips. Went with 20 family members for a Fathers Day fishing trip for 10 hrs, so, as you could imagine, the cost of the trip was not cheap. The captain was extremely rude and had terrible people skills. Out of the 10 hrs we probably "fished" for a total of 30 minutes. We traveled very slowly about 5 1/2 hrs to "the best fishing spot". However, we never stayed in one spot for more than 3 minutes. We were constantly moving, even though some were successfully catching fish. The ride back in only took about 4 hrs, as the captain was traveling much higher even though the waves were the same strength. Out of the 20 passengers who fished on this 10 hr trip, we brought back a total of 9 fish. Once confronted with the terrible experience, the captain showed no remorse, and refused to admit any fault. NEVER use this charter, especially Captain Phillips.

We booked a trip with Tomcat Fishing Charters and we were pleased with the whole experience. The lady that I talked to when booking the trip was very nice and helpful. We went out on No Doubt II with Captain Phillips and he put us right on the fish. We went on an 8 hour trip and we enjoyed every minute of it. The deck hand was awesome. We had 10 people fishing and over half had never been out before. I was amazed at how well we were treated and how much help he gave to the younger kids on the trip. I would highly recommend Captain Phillips to anyone and I will be booking again next year.

We arrived early and loaded onboard on time. After a brief safety chat we were on our way. Got our bait and headed out to fish. With 7 people on board, our poles were rigged and were ready to go when we got there. The spacious air conditioned cabin gave us plenty of room to stow our gear and relax. With the large back deck all 7 were able to fish together without tangling up. We didn't even have to real up when someone else caught a fish. Before long we were all bottom fishing and hooking up big fish. Captain worked hard to find good fishing spots. We did buy our own live bait on the way out but was well worth the experience. The captain and mate were friendly and both helped with the fishin'. Since we were catchin' fish, captain kept us out longer than our scheduled 10 hour trip. We even caught fish we weren't able to keep due to fishin' regulations but we understood that before we caught them. We had 3 senior citizens on board and the crew worked good to help them have a good time and catch fish. Great fun time pictures and memories. Booked charter through Tom Cat and Miss Syb worked hard to find us a boat. She called the captain and booked us on "Overload Boat N" on "No Doubt" charters. We were in town from out of state and couldn't get all of our family schedules together but were able to change the number of persons with no additional cost. To bad we weren't able to figure out to post photos of our fun times. :l Overall a really great time!!! Please consider going on a trip through Tom Cat Charters! :-D

If you want hospitality over the phone please stay away. We called at 8:30 pm central time and they are on central time and we were cursed at for calling so late. The older lady said she didn't care if they had our business. I guess their BP check had got them cocky. I remember when you could call a boat and they would bend over backwards to make you happy. Don't deal with someone who is not nice before you even get on the boat. These are those people. Look at the other reviews. I wish I would have looked before I spoke to this dreadful woman.
