About
Here at Coastal Wildlife Adventures, we specialize in small group, private boat tours. Ours boat take 3 to 6 guests per tour. Although the Bottlenose Dolphins are the main attraction, we also show you all kinds of local wildlife. Of course all the animals we see are wild, so we never quite know what we will get to see for sure. Aside from the dolphins, we see many different species of birds such as Osprey, Pelicans, Eagles, Wading birds, and many more. We see an occasional Manatee passing through, Sharks, Rays, Turtles, colorful fish, and even Deer. From April through October we do a lot of snorkeling on our tours as well. We change our snorkeling sites from day to day, depending on the weather and water conditions. We make an honest effort to bring you to the clearest calmest snorkeling sites we can. Usually we snorkel sea grass flats, sandbars, artificial reefs, and the coast of the Island. On all of our tours, you get a chance to get off the boat and explore Shell Island as well.

The best experience we have ever had on a family vacation. We were originally booked for 8/6/2022. When we showed up we were advised by our tour guide (Brayden..sorry if I spelled it wrong) there was a possibility of storms and that we could still go out but he couldn’t guarantee a full refund or we could reschedule. We advised him that we were leaving the next morning and he said they had an opening for the next morning at 8/8:30 so we rescheduled. Brayden also ended up being our tour guide the next day. He was very knowledgeable, informative, and the best tour guide we have ever had out of all the tours we have had while vacationing. We are so glad we rebooked as we all had an amazing experience and got to see almost everything on our list plus more:

This was an amazing experience. I loved that there was a small group (just my daughter and I and one other family) so we could make the tour our own. We were fortunate enough to see a couple of sea turtles, a jellyfish, and dolphins. Our captain even got us in the water with the dolphins. Such an amazing experience. He was listening for word about different wildlife that we could see and then asked if we wanted beach time or more snorkeling time! It was a great morning! The price is VERY reasonable and well worth the small individualized attention you get. If we ever get back here this will be a must in our itinerary!

My teenage kids and I had a wonderful time! Keagan was our captain and her personality and sense of humor made the experience even better! She made sure we got to see all the things, and we got more snorkeling time than I anticipated and I was thrilled! Highly recommend Coastal Wildlife and Adventures for your dolphin and snorkel tour, it’s money WELL SPENT! Thank you Keagan and CWA crew!

August 2021: Captain Lorraine’s Dolphin and Snorkel Tours are the one non-negotiable item on our yearly Panama City Beach itinerary. With three kids, it’s hard to keep everyone happy but this is one thing they can all agree on. Every year Lorraine and her team work hard to provide personalized experiences for each family. And each year we seem to find something new. Today we saw plenty of dolphins and were able to observe their natural behaviors without feeling like our tourism came at the expense of their habitat. Captain Lorraine took us to a secluded spot on Shell Island where my kids gathered up more shells than they could carry and then surprised them with HUGE shells that she had been diving for (at a 10-15 ft depth) while they were on the beach. We snorkeled around rocky outcroppings to see larger fish and even spent some time checking out a small shipwreck. This is our 3rd tour with Dolphin & Snorkel Tours of Panama City Beach and it won’t be our last.

Highly recommend! Brayden was a knowledgeable, friendly captain who provided interesting info and tips without being excessively chatty.
We booked a 6-passenger charter for a dolphin watching and sunset cruise. I didn't realize a stop on Shell Island was automatically included, but it was just fabulous! Even if you're not a big shell collector (I am not), bring a little bag for them, just in case.
We saw dolphins several times, mostly up close where we got great photos and videos. The sunset was gorgeous! 11 year old grandson declared the outing the "best part of our trip", which was almost a week of great fun in and around Panama City Beach.

My husband, two boys, my mom and myself took a private sunset Dolphin cruise with Dolphin and Snorkel Tours Inc. I would give our experience a five out of five star experience. Our captain, Brayden did a spectacular job with accommodating us by making us
Feel comfortable, helping keep our children safe, providing some fun conversations we had, having a great playlist of music, and answering all of our questions. He went above and beyond and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking at this type of experience!
I hope to make this private cruise a part of our vacation every year and want to try the three hour snorkeling once our boys are a little older.
Feel comfortable, helping keep our children safe, providing some fun conversations we had, having a great playlist of music, and answering all of our questions. He went above and beyond and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking at this type of experience!

Go do this tour. It was well worth our time & money for the priceless memories we walked away with. Captain Turtle was excellent, keeping our family safe while giving us the experience of a lifetime! It was like ordering from a menu with him from shell hunting, to swimming with dolphins & even spotting a sea turtle Captain Turtle went above & beyond to make sure we experienced all that we wanted to even bringing us to a “secret shell” spot to find the best shells. Obviously he can not control the sea life & your experience with them but if there is an opportunity he will have you in the best place to experience it. We won’t miss the dollars spent for the memories we walked away with.

We booked this cruise on a Friday morning at 10:00 with Dru. He was a very knowledgeable captain and he got us on dolphins early in our trip. He made a point to try to get us in the water with wild dolphins while still respecting the wild life we encountered. We were on a tour of 5 people total and we all got in the water with dolphins nearby. Next, Dru took us to snorkel In a beautiful spot with several different species of fish. Lastly, we completed a short hike over Shell Island and were able to cool off in the waves and search for shells. We felt incredibly safe the entire trip and Dru did an amazing job educating us on the local wildlife. He created a very welcoming, laid back, and comfortable environment. We enjoyed this tour so much that we booked a private charter tour with Dru on another day of our trip. That’s how incredible this experience was for us!
On our private tour, we wanted to focus on snorkeling so Captain Dru got us in the water with dolphins within 30 minutes of being on the boat. We jumped in and had several dolphins swimming all around us. It was one of the coolest experiences of my life! He then took us snorkeling in the bay where we saw several unique species of fish and sea creatures in the sea grass.
There are tons of options when choosing a dolphin tour, but no one else compares to Captain Dru. He knows the area and he’s patient enough to get his groups in the perfect spot to see dolphins.
Can not recommend this experience enough and it’s ONLY this great because of Captain Dru!

Brayden took us out ( just the 2 of us) and really soon we were watching a pod of dolphins swimming about. Brayden knows all the places to go to watch and swim around dolphins! He took us to a place near shell island and a pod of dolphins were nearby; he got my wife kitted up and in the water right where the dolphins were.
Also he was so knowledgeable and took us on a trail on shell island looking for conch and sharks teeth! We had the best time ever with Brayden, this company knows how to make an amazing trip!

I wish there were more stars to pick! It truly was the highlight of our trip. Our Captain, Braden, could not have been nicer. He knew we wanted to see dolphins and bent over backwards to make sure that happened....many times!
This tour could easily be $100 a person....and I'm a pretty cheap person! We had so much fun! The trip to Shell Island was like we were going to another planet. The beach was the most beautiful one I've ever been to.
I will go back next time I'm in the area for sure and I will ONLY go with this company. It takes a lot to please me but this company went over the top to make this memory for us! THANK YOU!

I took this AMAZING tour about 3 years ago with Captain Croix and am looking to take it again with a new group of people. Is he still guiding tours? Is there a way to request him?

Yeah, he's still there. My wife and I took a tour snorkeling with him the end of last September a few weeks before their season ended. He was a cool, fun very and very informative. He took good care of us and took us to the best snorkeling places... crystal clear warm water. I felt like I was in a aquarium full of harmless fish. My wife called him Lieutenant Dan, because he reminded her of him in the movie Forest Gump. We're going to do it again this upcoming summer and request him again as well.

Our 3 hour tour is $68 per person plus tax the rate for a private tour for up to 6 passengers is $349 plus tax.
