We played the course in February and the fairways and greens were in great shape. There is a LOT of water and typically on the LEFT of the fairways! The wind really changes the course quite a bit also. The greens are EXTREMELY undulating with many, many breaks and -- at times -- unforgiving! The clubhouse is very nice and the attendants are spot-on!

Club is semi-private but you can get on through 360 Blue property rentals... at least for now. We were told they were ending this in the next few years and going back to completely private. This makes no sense to me as the course was basically empty in the afternoon and if people are willing to pay the price... I’ll get to that later. This course and Shark’s Tooth are connected and are in better shape than any other courses we played or looked at. This course is super challenging with little room for error in either the fairways or the greens. Bring your A game especially if it’s windy. Brutal in the wind. Beautiful course makes it a worthwhile visit. Now the price... The most expensive round by nearly double. $187.50 per player. When taking price into consideration I’m not sure it’s worth double the other area courses but we played both anyway. The other plus is because the course is empty (you can only play in the afternoon), we played around in 3:10 as a twosome. I prefer this kind of golf versus 4:15 to 4:45 at some other courses but not everyone does. Bottom line: if you can get on and can stomach the price, do it and you won’t regret it.

I cannot say enough about the service at Camp Creek. From the bag drop, the pro shop and the starter it's clear that a fantastic service experience is what Camp Creek seeks to provide. The food and beverage manager even sought me out on the practice range because he heard that I was from his old home town.

The practice range has a large number of massive undulation greens that are protected with bunkers. This is the nicest range that I've ever used and I've played on two courses that have hosted US Opens.

The greens on the course were lightning fast. Large and undulating, it's important to get your approach shot in the right section of the greens.

I thoroughly enjoyed my round at Camp Creek and will play again the next time we visit this area.

But do not let them fool you as they are tough. When it comes to this area, Camp Creek is an absolutely wonderful course. The course winds through the property and you get to enjoy a scenic round just around the corner from the ocean. The greens are in great shape but can be fast and, based upon pin location, can wear you out if you are not on your game that day. Whenever we go down, Camp Creek is on my list and should be on yours as well.

If you are in Santa Rosa beach you need to try this course. It is great. Wonderfully maintained and great staff. We go here every year as a group of 34 guys. They always welcome us back.

Unless you are staying at a StJoe owned hotel or rental property or know a member you will not be able to play here. There are no daily fee tee times.

The course is challenging with difficult Fazio green complexes and lots of slope on the greens. Condition is much better now than when semi-private a few years ago as the number of rounds is way down. Shark's Tooth is the other 18 that's part of the same club and is a totally different Norman design. Nice contrast to play them both.

This is an extremely challenging course, with amazing views, not uncommon to see plenty of wildlife. The people who work there are incredibly kind and generous, they go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your outing. The course is worth every penny

The place is conveniently located off of Hwy. 30-A, close to our house rental. The Director of Golf (Jaxon) and his staff were so friendly, and the pro shop and snack bar had everything you could need. The Fazio layout was in perfect shape, and each hole was secluded to where you couldn't see anyone else. Not that I've played it, but this course reminded me of Pine Valley with the large areas of sand bunkers mixed in with the native grasses along the sides of each hole. You have to be fairly accurate off the tee even though the fairways were generous. The tees and fairways are Zoisia grass, while the greens are Bermuda I believe. All surfaces were immaculate and I hope to get to play it again someday. Do not turn down an invite to play this gem.
