This weekend was my second dive trip with PCDC and I was not disappointed! I did a 3-tank inshore dive on Friday and a 2-tank inshore dive on Sunday. I took my 16 year old and my 19 year old on Friday. It was my 16 year old's first ocean/boat dive, he did great! The captain and crew were amazing! They are not just knowledgeable, they are DARN entertaining. It seems like a them with this company: keep the customers entertained and laughing while making them feel safe! They take requests for dive sites and were able to put us on top of the primary location I was hoping for: the Black Bart. Vis was great at about 40-50', there we TONS of fish including a Goliath Grouper, 2 Nurse Sharks, Barracudas galore and thousands of smaller fish. We then hit Span 14, the Chickasaw, and the Hovercraft. The Hovercraft was by far the hidden gym of the trip. Even better vis than at Black Bart, 50-75' and even more Barracuda! The wreck itself was massive and easily navigable. Ultimately, what makes a dive trip is the friendliness of the crew and how safe they make you feel. They make everything so easy: from check-in and payment, to entries and exits from the boat. Fred and Fleetwood are simply the Best! Cant wait to return to PCB and dive with these guys again, and again, and again.........

I frequently bring groups to SCUBA dive with Panama City Dive Center. They have a great location and a fleet of big boats set up well for diving. As an instructor, I'm always looking for operations that are safe and accessible including to people with disabilities. PCDC has a well-deserved great reputation. They usually take you to nice dive sites with lots of sea life (one of my favorites is the Red Sea), and they are honest about conditions before they take you there. There is a fresh water shower on board, and they don't over-fill their large boats, nor do they ever even fill them to capacity (I often fill my trips and need to turn people away because they like to keep their boats below capacity...and I respect that. Nobody wants to dive on a cattle boat!). JB is my favorite boat captain, though most of the crew go above and beyond to ensure everyone is happy and safe. I dive with operators all over the state and the world, and PCDC does some things differently, though. First, they "fin" you. You walk in your gear across the deck holding your fins, hand your fins to the crew, put a foot back at a time as they put your fins on for you and give you a tap before you do a giant stride entry. It takes some getting used to, but it seems to work well unless you have a preference for how tight you like your straps. Another thing is that while fresh water is always provided on board, snacks including fresh fruit are hit or miss. I always like it when boats I dive on provide snacks, and I'm sure most people give bigger tips as a result. I tip generously no matter. Ownership changed a couple of years ago, so things have changed with the operation and it seems to be much more focused on profit versus customer satisfaction. My last experience last weekend was not great (understatement) and if all trips were like that (including how my concerns were disregarded), I would not go back. Despite this, I still recommend diving with Panama City Dive Center.

i took a one day two tank dive trip on the Island Diver. The Capt., Mate and Divemaster were all amazing. They made sure it was a safe and enjoyable experience of everyone on board. I've been on several dive trips with this company and the same crew. It's always a great experience. I recommend them highly.

My friends and family had me join them in getting my open water and advanced PADI diving certifications this week. We spent the week chartered through Panama City Dive Center. The crew (captain: Roseanne and Master diver Fleet Wood days 1-3 and Master diver Matthew on day 3) were more than amazing. Not only did they ensure our safety, they gave me lots of encouragement and multiple pep talks. They took us to some great dive locations and were very knowledgeable about each. The dive shop owner “choppy” made us feel very welcome and part of the dive family. Also thanks to Sam for coming out 2 days in a row #thefive#thesensitiveone#theneedyone#samcheckyourpockets
