$8 to get into the park per car load and $18 per person to take the ferry over to shell island. Was a beautiful area to swim and snorkel. Had fun looking for sea shells. Able to swim in the bay or gulf. Be sure it's a nice day..all day... we had 3 storms rip thru while we were there...... More

Brought our buckets and only able to find small shells . The same at our beach condo. If you went way out in the water and dove down you could find some good ones though. Boat ride very nice and crew friendly and knowledgeable. Did get to see some Dolphins . Timing was perfect. Not too long and not too... More

My husband and I took our daughter to shell island with the idea of seeing and gathering lots of shells and having so much fun only to find as others stated...you pay $8 to get I to the park and then a fee per person to get on the shuttle...the air conditioned bus was nice and the boat ride was... One of the most beautiful paradise on earth! Simply breathtaking! Got to get on a boat or ferry to get there but once you do it's heavenly! Can't wait to go back!

When we got to the island it was AMAZING. Beautiful clear water and perfect areas for snorkeling. This was the best part of our trip and well worth the cost of the shuttle. Also, check the website for coupons! Keep in mind that there is NO SHADE! Bring an umbrella or tent. Also, no bathrooms... These little inconveniences were totally... More

We were going to Shell Island for the day. Had to enter the State Park off Thomas drive. They charge you $8.00 to get into the park just to go to the shuttle! Then you pay $19.50 for the shuttle. Never again.

We took a dolphin excursion to Shell Island. It was so pretty! The kids found tons of shells, the water was so clear and the sand was so fine and white. Loved it!

A lot of fun in the water on the bay side. Started walking across to the gulf side and came across a snake and turned right around. Never made it to the gulf side.

Access to the island was very easy. There was a bus ride to the dock and then a refreshing water taxi to the island. The people were very nice. The island was beautiful but getting to the Gulf side was miserable. The walk was long and extremely hot of course it was mid July! A drop off site on that... More

Shell island is an amazing place. It's a island with fine white sand and surrounded by clear turquoise water. There are no buildings and has been left in its natural state. It is visited by a lot of tourists. However, this is an island where you can have vast areas all to yourself. The island has shipwrecks and plenty of... More
