the animal encounters were great, but i was less than impressed with the habitats for all the farm & larger animals. it was quite heart breaking to see. the bengal tiger has a very, very small habitat as well as almost nothing in the habitat to do. he just paced back & forth anxiously. the giraffe habitat was heart breaking as well. it’s an extremely small space without one single tree. they go inside at night to a very small barn stall. this is just 2 examples of the poor habitats. overall, the animal encounters were not worth seeing all the small, non-stimulating, sad habitats. there needs to be some major improvements.

Very small zoo. But, the animal, bird and giraffe feedings were fabulous and my kids are still raving about it. They got to feed giraffes! The goats, horse, donkey, and deer were all very affectionate. I could have loved without the birds landing on me, but my kids thought it was great. We went early, so all the animals were hungry.

First walking in I was not impressed. However it wasn't long til we realized what a gem they are. Lots of animals are close enough to touch and are hand tame. The huge budgie cage that you can go in had us totally hooked. They are remodeling and can't wait to see what they add.

My sister in law and I travelled from Miramar Beach on Friday 4th September. We had our 6 children ranging from 3 to 9 years old and it took us over an hour to get there. Total cost $132. Each child had their backpack with packed lunches and a drink. On arrival staff member out front told us to take our bags in the car and dump our tumblers out, that we can buy food at the concession stand. We told her the meat, cheese and drinks would be ruined in the car. We also told there were no sign's on the website to say we had no idea we couldn't take our food or drinks in. We have spent alot of time and money preparing these meals and travelled over an hour to get here. We also told her that my sister in law is pregnant and needs water and that my daughter has severe allergies and cant eat anything at concession. She didn't care! We asked her to store our food out front in a cooler and we would come back out and eat it later. Nope, couldn't do that either. We asked for a manager she said she was one. Even though it was early morning not even close to lunchtime we made our children eat what they could and threw away the rest of our food and drinks before entering. POOREST SERVICE EVER and a total violation of the Hiipa Act. I left messages and emailed trying to talk to someone no response. DON'T GO HERE!! SAVE YOUR MONEY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
