We saw a play called Under the Hat that was all about Mini Pearl and it was wonderful. The local talent that performed it were so great. The woman who wrote the play is a local and very talented. The theatre does such a great job and is comfortable and well appointed. I recommend this theatre to anyone lucky enough to be in town when a production is underway.

Whether you are visiting Panama City or Panama City beach, take the time to go to downtown Panama City. Go see a play or a movie at this fabulous theater. Before or after the show go eat and drink at the local restaurants. Don't forget to browse the local stores as well.

I enjoyed this as a drive by sight seeing excursion. My interest was in the architecture not the content of the theatre. If you enjoy that then roll on by.

We are regular theatre goers and the Martin offers among the best variety and performance quality in the area. I am in a wheelchair and the staff goes to all sorts trouble to make sure I have my spot.
Barbara and her staff are warm and friendly. It always feels like coming home when we return to the Martin!

I really liked the classic Martin Theatre. It is right out of of old Hollywood. I saw a play there and it was brilliant

Todd Shroeder struck up "Yesterday Once More" on the grand piano in Richard Carpenter style. From off stage came Karen Carpenter's voice beginning the song. The sold-out audience all engaged in nostalgia. Then strutting onstage came singer actress Joanne O’Brien. NOT Karen Carpenter's voice. It was Joanne's voice offstage. You'd swear you were listening to Karen. Joanne--a great fan of the Carpenters--sang all the old favorites ably accompanied and backed up by Todd. What a fabulous show! The music was woven through by Carpenter facts. One of the Martin Theatre's best shows!
And in true Martin fashion, staff took the time to rearrange a seating mixup without missing a beat.
Good shows. Great service. Delicious dinner! Bravo Barb and staff!

If you enjoy things of the past this building in itself is a must see . the plays are very enjoyable. and the history of stars that have been there is very interesting. the décor is unusual . In times passed movie stars have come to this place. its like taking a step into the 1940 's or 50's.

The Martin Theatre's line up each year is fresh and entertaining. While the stage plays are usually local talent, their music event for 6 weeks beginning each January is quite good. Seats are usually available at showtime but all I've seen there should have been sold out. The management team is personable and recognizes guests names and faces.
