I really love going to Shell Island thru the state park because they take you where the big boulders are. The other shuttles with other places take you to the other side. They have a snow cone ferry set up which helps while waiting on the boat to come back. Captain Anderson's didn't offer that. Really enjoyed. Only bad thing... More

We visited this place expecting more to see. They have a long pier for fishing and beach access. We expected to see wildlife animals, scuba diving, snorkeling, hiking trail, and saw nothing but the beach, the pier, picnic area, and concession stand. There is an $8 charge per car but wasn't worth the visit.

2 ladies, 5 kids ages 4-14, 2 tents and LOTS of fun. This park offers the best of both worlds. Camping sites are set in and around nature, the clear water and white soft sand beach is beautiful, picnic areas, clean bath houses... we couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely keep this park in mind for future camping... More

The beach was beautiful! The water was so blue & clear. Their are restrooms with showers available. We stopped at Gator Lake, walked the observation deck & short trails.

We went there to take the shuttle to Shell Island but were disappointed about both. The signage is very bad and we had to drive around to find the Pier Park to purchase tickets to Shell Island. We asked the lady at the pier when the next shuttle would leave and she said every 30 minutes. I asked her half... More

It was very hot when we were at St Andrews State Park. The Ocean was the most beautiful blue with fish swimming about in the bath like water. Great atmosphere and very safe for children, under supervision of course. Wooden walkways lead to the beach with convenient shower points to was off the sand which was so good! There is... More

We always spend a morning doing one of the walks at St. Andrews. We did not see any gators this time out.

We enjoyed the water on the day we went. It was sad to see people on paddle boards and kayaks smoking on the water as we swam and smelled cigarette smoke coming onto shore with the waves. The shelter was nice until a huge charter bus with so many people came and they used every grill known to man to... More

This place is amazing. My first time to visit and I will be back soon. The park cost $8.00 to get in up to 6 people. The park has an amazing boardwalk that takes you to the beach. The water was crystal clear and looked like and island you would see on TV. We found a lot of pretty shells... More
