A must to visit. Has every type of sea life from the Gul of Mexico.

Great lab for sea life lovers or people who has never seen these specimens up close. Very nice and small enough were it does not take all day to see.

Get up close with nurse sharks, sea turtles, horseshoe crabs and rare, elusive deep sea eels...and a myriad of gastropods, bivalves and more! Touch tank and aquariums offer encounters like no other. The splendor of the FL or GA aquariums are grand but the experience here is truly that. Come rain or shine, going solo or with a crowd, Gulf... More

Great place to see up close live marine specimens. Lots of 'touch it' tanks. Great video, Great place for children, I would recommend at least 7-8 yrs old and older. The place is in a quiet neighborhood, not hard to find. Very nice gift shop. I would say it was at least a 2 hr visit or longer. No food... More

This was recommended by family. $9.50 gets you in and you can spend at least two hours lost among the sea life. There are docents to explain what you are seeing or touching. There are plenty of sea creatures to see. There is no rush since you are your own guide. I had never seen a touch tank. I enjoyed... More

My grandchildren are teenagers and they loved the place!!! As they would go from tank to tank touching and looking at the marine life, they kept calling for me to come look. I was trying to give them a different experience and they certainly had one. They kept telling me what a neat place it is. I had to encourage... More

We recently went to the Gulf Specimen Marine Lab. While the facility is not big, it's a great place to take small children since they have a number of touch tanks for kids to interact with the marine life. The touch tanks vs the"look-only" tanks are clearly marked. Keep in mind that this facility is located in coastal Florida and... More

Good place for small kids. They can touch some of the specimens. There was not a lot to do and it was unbelievably hot. Luckily the surrounding area had good restaurants and a beach.

This is a great place to take the kids to. There is a lot that they can pick up and touch at this aquarium. If you hit it at the right time you can see them feed the nurse sharks. They take in turtles and nurse them back to health and then release them. My kids love the horse crab... More

We had a great day at the aquarium! I think it's great for all ages - we had ages 8 months through 60 years old in our group, and everyone loved it. The touch tanks are so much fun! There is a tank that was the perfect height for our 3 year old niece and 4 year old son, and... More

We are Tallahassee locals and were looking for something fun to do on a Saturday with our two boys, ages 5 and 3. We all had a great time in the lab, and also participated in the day's activity of going to a local dock to pull in nets and traps to look at various sea life. My only complaint... More
