Waupoos Estates Winery sits majestically on a gently sloping hillside overlooking Lake Ontario in beautiful Prince Edward County. The Winery offers an array of wines at the Tasting room, shopping in the Boutique and Dining in the full service Gazebo Restaurant. The first vineyards were planted in the mid 90's. The new vines were allowed time to mature. Proudly opening the doors to the public in 2001 with the first vintage.

Enjoyed the 4-sample tasting. Bought 2 different wines we would not have experienced elsewhere - Vidal Fumee was particularly interesting. We will be saving it to enjoy with a freshly roasted chicken. The winery is in a beautiful lakeside location and is perfectly set up...More

Went to dinner Saturday June 10, with my daughter. We were really looking forward to our meal based on reviews however the reviews I saw were from 2016. The menu for mains was limited. I ordered the steak and was told it was"chewy". I was...More

We called a few days ahead and booked for lunch at their restaurant. We were so disappointed with the menu, apparently they had just changed it, the starters did not include any type of salad...I think their specialty is smoking food, but that's really an...More

We've been stopping here for wine for years. It's one of the oldest wineries in the county and one of the few that sells wine at reasonable prices. Many of the other wineries in the county sell overpriced "emperors new clothes" wines unfortunately. Some of...More

I wrote this review in September and forgot to post it. Better late than never. Waupoos was not on our original list of wineries to visit but we have found that recommendations by locals tend to be more accurate than tourist board suggestions. Our Bed...More

Waupoos Winery I would call the most picturesque, in the vineyard, on the big lake feel of just about any comparable dining/tasting local venue. Few, if any could compare. Pick a nice day and book ahead to it - it will fill your lungs with...More

It's no wonder this place is the oldest winery in Prince Edward County - it's a beauty. The wine is fantastic! Try the Reserve Chardonnay - The Knoll. It'll make you a believer ever if you're not a fan! Top shelf.

This winery is on the lake and offers a stunning setting for a glass of wine. They also have cider and beer! Grab a pint and wander down to the water on a sunny day.

We started with a wonderful nicely seasoned squash soup made with 3 varieties of squash grown on the farm. My husband had the salmon which was cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the hearty beef stew. My sister had the pasta. The wine was from the...More

My son and his now wife got engaged at this winery in September 2015 and decided to hold their wedding there in September 2016. Great location, food was good, service excellent. For smaller weddings (ours was 80 people) the location is great. The manager and...More
