Put this on your list! Great time for all ages
Pleasantly surprised! Wonderful afternoon here with our 8 year old and my 70 year old mom. Alligators for days! We all had a great time and totally worth the drive (it’s 1 hour 45 minutes from West Palm Beach). Don’t sleep on this fun attraction!

    Gators and Crocodiles galore!
We had an amazing second egg hatching yesterday August 24, 2024. I went w/my husband on the last day of hatching season a year ago. We enjoyed the experience and the day at Gatorama so much that we invited friends this time. Among the 8 people in our group was my best friend’s 4 year old grandson. Oh the excitement and joy in that little boy’s eyes was priceless. The park is well kept and offers various exhibits and areas to satisfy all age groups. In addition to the day ticket to see the park’s exhibits and feedings, they offer many different encounters with alligators for additional fees. Our group enjoyed the incubator tour and although very warm (it is an incubator after all), they said it was very informative. The owner Allen Register gave the tour and friends returned from it to explain how the eggs are collected from the wild (throughout the state) and how they are culled and brought to several farms like Gatorama to incubate and hatch. The majority of us took part in the egg hatching encounter and even though it was my second time, it was still amazing being able to help in birthing a baby gator from its shell. The volunteers were knowledgeable and helpful and welcomed family members to take great photos without feeling rushed. My husband decided to take part in the meet and greet an alligator. He was amazed at how big they really are when out of the water. He fed it a treat and then the staff took a great photo (shared online) of him beside the gator. A food tent was on-site offering hot dogs, chips, sweets and beverages. We opted to bring lunches and picnicked at our vehicles in the parking lot although we did purchase beverages throughout the day…gotta hydrate! We thoroughly enjoyed the day learning about and watching alligators, crocodiles and various other animals on site. There is a full air conditioned gift shop and plenty of restrooms around the park. My tip is to book your egg hatching encounter as soon as it becomes available online. The tickets for this encounter are obviously limited to how many eggs were collected and they fill up fast. We periodically visited the website Gatorama.com and booked our tickets around the middle of June for the August/early September hatching season. Great experience!🐊

    Well worth the visit
We had tickets for the “zoo” as well as the “Face to Face” encounter. Check-in at arrival was quick and since we had time before our FtF, we checked out the countless gators of all sizes as well as the Crocs and other animals When it was time for our Face to Face, we went on the island and got to spent about 30 minutes with Brandon the alligator and 3 handlers. We fed him as well as post on his side for pictures. What a feeling being that close to one of those majestic, oversized lizards.🙂

    Great time for the family!
My Wife and I took our Son and Grandson to see the alligators during our vacation to Florida. It was a beautiful day out and not crowded at the location. We were met with smile and courtesy from the time we entered until we departed. We had time to feed the alligators, see a mid-day show and learn about them, our Grandson was even able to pet and hold a small one. Kyle conducted the show, a young man with a passion for what he does. His excitement to show his alligator to us was contagious. He did a superb job and really catered to the kids ( and us kids at heart too ) We met the owner, had great interactions throughout the day. I highly recommend this location and adventure, really well done and you can see the love for their animals. Great time had by all, thanks so much!

About an hour’s drive from Punta Gorda, this place is totally a blast! (Highway 74 was an unexpected and scenic pleasure with little traffic and many cattle ranches). We loved Gatorama for its unique history as a roadside attraction since 1957, its great gift shop, and especially for its incredible volume of large and small gators plus many other animals. We weren’t brave enough to try feeding the gators ourselves ($10 fee) but the very neat employee who did the feeding demonstration was amazing and shared a ton of info on gators. We got some great photos of huge gators getting fed. Admission is very reasonable for value received, about $20/adult. This is an awesome and fun spot to visit for kids and adults. It’s well worth the pleasant drive from Punta Gorda or Fort Myers.

This is old Florida at its best! Turn back the clock.
Roadside gator farm that has been around since the 50s. If you ever travelled south toward Miami or North to Orlando on Highway 27 as a kid in the 60s, 70s or 80s you may have had a family stop here.
Last weekend annual gator hatching began, and you can be part of this fun event. See the little-half pound gator make its way out of an egg with your help. Fun for kids and adults. An event that will have you wanting to do it every year. Lots of gators and animals to view and crocs, too.
They also have a show where they feed gators with chicken parts. Great photo opportunities abound.
Fun factoid is that this roadside attraction was inherited by current owners. Can you imagine a will reading that says, "And, you get the gator farm!"
If you miss it as you go down or up US 27 stop and visit. You will not be disappointed.

We visited today valentines day with grandson. It is a little bit out of the way but worth it. Shelley Woonton went over the top and spend excellent time with our grandson teaching him about Florida nature and animals. Hand feeding turtles, hold baby crocodile, hold a boa and the grand finale catching several alligators by hand with Shelley was fabulous. Sorry did not get the other lovely ladies name that did the croc and gator feed show. She was awesome and learned a lot about both species. I will definitely be back in August for gator hatching. There are lots of monster size gators and crocs.

Today I had the honor of visiting this amazing farm. I also got to hatch a baby alligator right out of her shell. This farm is a now a multi generational alligator meat farm that allows the public to come inside and become educated. You can tell the family genuinely is looking to produce an excellent product with transparency and best management practices. It is for all ages, and groups and solo travelers alike. I highly recommend all the extra opportunities they have. For example, the hatching. However in the past I’ve enjoyed the photo opportunities and Fast Hands No Hands. Next time I’d like to try the Face2Face. I’ll be back. It’s a lot fun to just sit and watch the gators and crocs in the big pond munch on the gator cookies people throw them. It’s a safe place to feed gators and something you couldn’t do in the wild. So that is fun. Five stars.

Had the chance to visit Gatorama during a recent trip to Okeechobee. Paid the extra money for Fast Hands and Face to Face, and glad I did! Having alligators that close, hearing their jaws snap closed as you toss snacks into their mouths is pretty intense! And the face to face with Big Ben is something that I'll remember forever. The people at Gatorama were always conscience of where I was and what the alligator was doing, so I never felt that there was any danger.

To the other reviewers that took exception with the farming side of this business (which is totally separate and NOT on this site) I can understand your views. However, Gatorama is focused on entertaining and education, and they do an outstanding job of teaching their customers not only how Gatorama came to be, but about alligators in general. As someone from out of state who had never seen an alligator in the wild, I came away from my visit with a lot of knowledge and an appreciation that I didn't have before.

Took the grandson here to see some gators. Had plenty of gators to view. Highly suggest that you attend around the time of feeding (12 or 2) otherwise you just walk through and see gators which might take a half hour. With the feeding show and watching kids pick up baby gators you can spend a couple of hours.

This was a good day! We took our 3 year old twins. They were excited to see so many alligators in one place sunning themselves on the beach of “Croc Isle”. Actually, I think I had more fun than the kids. The kids shied away from holding a snake, so Grandma took their place. But they did feed the tortoise. Gatorama has many other animals to see, including the endangered Florida panther. Peacocks roaming the grounds and a playground for kids. The staff is quite knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I also like the fact that Gatorama is aware of the importance of saving our ecosystem and participating in wildlife conservation. A great time. We would definitely do this again.

My wife and I visited on one of the coldest days, but the alligators were still plenty active. We enjoyed feeding the alligators and the goats. The entire staff was friendly and seemed happy to see us. It was a bit of a drive from Bonita Springs, where we were staying, but we knew that before we left and we found it to be worth the time. We had fun, learned a lot about alligators, and got some good pictures from the "Face to Face" encounter.

My first time and my husband's second after 40 year hiatus. We really enjoyed ourselves. We learned a lot, saw more alligators and crocodiles than we expected. The place is family owned and they have excellent staff, very knowledgeable and friendly. Talking with staff they told us the owners really work hard and treat the wildlife and employees with respect and care. That means a lot to me as I personally would rather support a small business like this than a huge corporation. I highly recommend this and will return again.

If you want to see alligators and crocodiles Gatorama is an absolute must! There are hundreds of animals to see and learn about. The staff are exceptional and very knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions and are so passionate about the animals. It was impressive to see that every gator in the main pond had a name and the staff could tell them all apart. Definitely stay for the different animal encounters and if you’re brave enough participate in them. The only downfall of our entire experience was that the food truck was closed. There’s no food or drinks allowed to be brought in so we were getting pretty hungry and had nowhere to eat. Overall Gatorama is a fantastic animal adventure and I highly recommend it!
