The worse golf course I have ever played. Their is no maintenance. Fairways mostly weeds. Sand traps grass growing in them and the greens what a joke. We left after 7 of 18 holes. I stoped by the club house to express my concern to the lady at the counter and all she had to say is this is not the worse golf course. If it is not then I sure do not want to see a course worse than this one. This should of been my first clue something was wrong when I pulled in the parking lot on a Saturday at 7:30am and their is only one other car parked. What’s really a-shame is the lay out for the course is nice at least the first 9 holes. Have no clue about the back nine. Could be a great course with different ownership. Someone who cares.

Sad course conditions and management for a beautiful layout
Sep 2020
The conditions on the course are terrible the fairways are mostly weeds and the greens are so damaged they have mini sand traps in them (see pic). We had a 5pm tee time and the pulled all the flags at 6:30 which they did not warn us about and made it basically unplayable though we continued by aiming at the middle of the green. It's not an expensive course but this the worst course conditions I have ever played. This is a shame because the course layout is beautiful. The nature around the course is beautiful as well. This could be one of the better courses in Tampa if it was maintained. Hope someone new comes in and takes over this course.

Sad conditions
Mar 2020 • Friends
The greens that had grass were so slow that finesse is useless. The tees lacked grass and fairways were spotty at best. It was sad because the design is nice, but as close to unplayable as it gets. No water stations and they would sell bottled water for $1 at the pro shop. We had scheduled a group outing and asked for closest to the pin on par 3’s and no markers were put out.

Course has reached an altime low

The only nice thing about this course is the pro-shop. Words alone cannot describe how bad this golf course really is. Stay away and save your money, regardless of price.

Look Elsewhere until issues are sorted out

Early morning tee time and at the turn they were sending 9 hole players off the back nine. Tee boxes and greens are horrible.

Ribs at a golf course
May 2019 • Couples
I live in the tarpon woods area-the crooked wood restaurant had changed hands a while back-was ok-but recently they bought a smoker and I have too say I had the best baby back ribs I have ever had.they were huge-not a lot of fat-tasty and fall off the bone-came with seasoned corn on the Cobb and watermelon-all delish-my wife had the pulled pork which was equally delish-2 thumbs up for crooked wood

Greens are dead

Charged 50 bucks for a course with no grass on large parts of greens. When we complained manager agreed not worth $50 but did nothing to compensate & didn't seem to care. Do yourself a favor go elsewhere.

In town visiting dear friend. Played eighteen. Reasonably priced and reasonably challenging. Good place to play if in area.

Overall, the course is ok...pretty wide open, but fairways and rough are about the same. Poorly marked yardage in fairways, tees don't really stand out. Rounds are inexpensive, go later and pretty much have course to self.

Course conditions have really deterioted
Jun 2018 • Friends
Several months ago the course was in really good shape, but just played today and the greens are really bad, the tee boxes are fair and the fairways and rough are in need of attention. Sorry to see, as its a fun layout.
