Brian was prepared, on time, had a clean boat. My husband and a friend booked a 4-hour trip with him for near shore and inshore fishing last week. He took them to several locations and they caught fish at each location. They caught so many fish they were getting tired of reeling them in--it was an awesome trip. They each caught at least 25 fish apiece, such as Spanish mackerel, Bonita, Redfish, Snook. They were all good sized fish. My husband said it was one of the most fun fishing trips he had ever been on. Both said it was awesome. Brian was very personable, answered all of their questions, he knew the area well and had plenty of bait. Would highly recommend him.

My wife and I have hired fishing guides before with mixed results. With Captain Brian however we not only caught a lot of fish, we caught the species we specifically set out to catch, and we had a LOT of fun. We caught 4 redish, 2 snook, (big one got away!) and 5 spanish makerel. As a bonus (for eating) we also caught some tasty snapper. The jack creavlle were opportunists reducing the amount of mackeral we caught in the pass but we still enjoyed catching them as they put up a good fight. Brian is an excellent and friendly guide and we felt safe during the entire trip. Not only would we book him again, we ARE booking him again to help us go after cobia.

What a great day with Captain Brian! It was quite windy but what a blast. He is very knowledgeable and knew right where to take us to catch a bunch of red fish, trout and snook. We're looking forward to grilling it up for dinner tonight. We will definitely schedule another trip with Brian again soon!

Where do we begin...We have gone fishing with Brian for more than 6 years and we usually go twice a vacation trip. We have enjoyed catching a variety of fish - red fish, trout, jacks, grouper, mackarel and snook. We prefer to fish with him because he continues to try spots until those fish finally decide to bite! Just last week on vacation, he located a spot for fish where we were not only catching sea trout and jacks, but a manatee hung around the boat for more than an hour. We highly recommend him for a great time of fishing!!

My two boys and I are freshwater anglers from Wisconsin. In 2016 we were fortunate enough to find Captain Brian. We were impressed from the minute we pulled into the Marina. Not only did we absolutely nail the sea trout, but as we moved on to fishing red fish we were fortunate enough to see dolphins feed in the wild as we are casting. In 2017 we went out with Captain Brian again and tried our hand at fishing Mangrove Snapper. Talk about fish that absolutely hand grenade a bait fish. Here's the deal. If you are anything like me, you read these reviews and search for negative to be sure your hard earned money and time isn't wasted. For two years straight we fished from 8am - Noon in March and caught a ton. My teenagers weren't bored. My hard earned money and time was definitely not wasted and at the end of the day any time I am in Clearwater and want to do some salt water fishing, Captain Brian is the only dude I care to contact. You'll have some laughs, talk Classic Rock or Classic Movies, find out where the Mogans are and when you are done the guy cares enough to help you filet your fish if you want to have a nice fish fry with your family when you are done. Look no further you won't be disappointed with Captain Brian. -The Borchardts

As an avid long time fisherman I sometimes enjoy getting out for a day on the water where I am not catching bait or getting the boat prepared to go fishing. Or, more importantly getting home from a day of fishing and having to clean fish and finally, cleaning the boat! This is where Captain Brian comes in… He shows up at the dock with a welcoming smile and greeting and helps everyone aboard. He explains what his game plan is for the day based on what species of fish you are targeting and knows where to go to get those fish based on tides and weather. Best of all is he showed up with a live well full of bait to last the entire day! The boat was very comfortable for the 4 of us, plenty of room and handled the windy day we fished with no problems. In fact, he positioned us all so the ladies didn’t get wet from overspray when we were going against the wind. The very first stop produced a beautiful speckled sea trout for my brother in law! We proceeded to all catch at least 1 trout before heading off to catch some redfish. And we were not disappointed. We caught 4 slot sized fish for the skillet and released two that were over 30”!! My guests on the boat were thrilled as was I. Finally, we wanted to have an opportunity to go for a West Coast inshore slam which is a snook, trout, and redfish and all 4 of us were in the running to achieve that once in a lifetime goal. So off we went to target a snook (or 4) and Captain Brian game through big time! My sister in law caught her snook and got the “slam”! I forgot to mention that the Captain kept us out almost an hour extra to help us get the elusive slam! Brian is so laid back and friendly it made for one of the best chartered fishing trips I’ve ever experienced and I have fished with Captains all over the world. What are you waiting for, give Brian a call and go have a great day on the water!!

I booked a trip with Captain Brian for myself, my father, and my two boys, ages 5 and 8 the week of Thanksgiving. I've taken my boys on a handful of chartered trips prior to our trip with Captain Brian. I made a special request that we fish inshore for half a day, dock at a restaurant for lunch, and then island hop for the second half of the day. This was due to my youngest not being ready for 8 hours of fishing. Captain Brian was happy to oblige.
We left dock at 8:15 and were on the fish shortly thereafter. We started in the mangroves and caught about a dozen redfish within a span of 30 minutes. As soon as the bites slowed down we were off on the prowl. Spent the first 2-3 hours in search of redfish and had our fill. We had decided to go after different species and the Captain had a spot in mind. We went to the Clearwater jetty. It turned out to be a honey hole. In the span of one hour, we caught, bonnethead shark, grouper, Spanish mackeral, snook, lady fish, redfish, and maybe one or two more species that I can't recall at the moment. It was fantastic. My boys were hauling them in just about as fast as we could cast.
Docked in Clearwater and went to Freshy's for lunch and the we were off to check out some scenery. We ended up at 3 rooks island, which was fantastic. We had the place to ourselves and the boys spent the remainder of the day searching for shells. Couldn't have had a better day. Weather was perfect and Captain Brian was on top of his game. He was great with the kids and out us on the fish. My biggest compliment is that he knew when to throw in the towel and head to a different spot. If the fish stopped biting for 5 minutes, we were off. No messing round. I've been on many trips and most Captains will waste time trying to bleed a spot dry. Not Brian. He'll be our go to every time we're in town. Couldn't recommend him more highly.

Captain Brian is great,a down to earth guy who knows exactly what he's doing. He put us on the fish right away that we caught so many the last 10 or so we had to let go. I would highly recommend him for anyone looking. Will definitely be calling him on all my future trips to Florida!

I was very excited about my trip with Captain Brian this morning and today because while I’ve been on many vacations in Florida at different places I’ve never booked a chartered fishing trip. Simply put Capt Brian is the best and extensively knowledgeable of not only the area on the water but the habitat of different fish and their eating behaviors. This fish I caught here 30 inch and quarter was in a school of Redfish about all the same size. Captain Brian spotted the school and put me right on it! Catching this big Redfish was exciting and will be very memorable for me! I totally enjoyed the day on the water with Captain Brian and you will as well so book a trip with him for some enjoyable fishing!
