If you are visiting Palm Beach, Florida, you have to take time to see the Flagler museum, the Breakers, Worth Avenue and Bethesda-By-The-Sea. The first church in Palm Beach County, Bethesda-By-The-Sea stands yards from the Atlantic Ocean at the corner of North County Road and Barton Avenue. The Episcopal Church is the oldest house of worship in Palm Beach, dating... More

PROS: Easy access to chapel, gardens, gift store. Very friendly staff. Gardens were pretty, with a koi pond that had some huge koi in it. If you don't sit down to meditate or have some contemplative time, you can experience this place in under an hour. CONS: We could not be there for one of their services, so I feel... More

Well worth the effort to attend. A must at Christmas time either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Gives you a feeling like you are in England.

Magnificent organ and excellent organist make it worth a visit. There is a beautiful garden in the rear of the church with a water feature and lovely selection of plants.

By the sea, by the sea, this beautiful church shall be. I can't get that song out of my head when I think of this church. It truly is a magnificent church, though a bit dark inside. Definitely should be on one's list, if architecture or places of worship are an interest. Has a long line of history, and is... More

Bethesda by the Sea is stunning!! I highly recommend taking an hour or so to walk the grounds and the church. This is activity doesn't cost and is open to the public!
