It is a for the whole family. Great walking on the broad walk or running on the sandy paths also has an exercise course. You will always see turtles and in the cooler months manatee. Great outing for young families.

I have seen raccoons, alligators, turtles, and fish here. The walk on the boardwalk is so beautiful and relaxing. I've gone back many times and will continue to go back for walks.

Unfortunately, we didn't have much time to explore and enjoy! But it started a really bad storm and he had to leave...as far as we know it's a really good place, beautiful!

I love mountain biking here. There are 8-10 miles of trails that are great for intermediate riders. Beginners should go with someone that knows the trails so they don't get lost.

Turkey Creek Sanctuary is a great place to walk if you're looking for shade and easy level walking surfaces. The markers identifying the various trees and plants are quite educational. And watching the alligators in the creek is Really amazing.

There is a mountain biking path alongside the sanctuary but it's maintained by the park district and I'm not certain if the upkeep is all that good . But I do know it's a medium level path with pretty rough terrain . Not for... More
