Beautiful and relaxing walk

I have seen raccoons, alligators, turtles, and fish here. The walk on the boardwalk is so beautiful and relaxing. I've gone back many times and will continue to go back for walks.

Unfortunately, we didn't have much time to explore and enjoy! But it started a really bad storm and he had to leave...as far as we know it's a really good place, beautiful!

needs volunteers to replace some of the boardwalk boards. Understand they sell the boards that you can have engraved, but when we inquired, we were told the carver was very old and sick. That being the case, for safety sakes, some boards need to be replaced.

great places to kayak and fish through and within a mile there is hammock landings for example but there is no place to put in your yak in the actual sanctuary as shown , there are many wooden paths and dirt paths farther our to walk over and many animals to see along the way such as turtles, several species... I love mountain biking here. There are 8-10 miles of trails that are great for intermediate riders. Beginners should go with someone that knows the trails so they don't get lost.

Turkey Creek Sanctuary is a great place to walk if you're looking for shade and easy level walking surfaces. The markers identifying the various trees and plants are quite educational. And watching the alligators in the creek is Really amazing.

My wife, children and grandchildren spent some time in Turtle Creek, seeing turtles and racoons. The trails are great with plenty of various trees and foliage. It is like another world walking in the sanctuary. It is only $30 to buy a plank on the trail which is reasonable since the sanctuary is FREE to visit for however long you... More

It is a very nice place to spend an hour or two, away from the pounding of the ocean, and the hustle of other visitor hubs. Our whole family ages 2 -63 spent a couple of hours leisurely walking the boardwalk. it wouldn't take that long, but we stopped frequently to look for the animals! We were lucky enough to... More
