Since we wanted a little exercise before our long ride, our local friends suggested Turkey Creek Sanctuary Park. When we parked near the library, we watched a gopher turtle munching flowers among the grass and then return to it's hole. There were several choices of...More

Great place to have a family trip on nature. The family young and old will enjoy this nature trail. And the different animals and birds you will see.

Turkey Creek is a nice location that allows you to get some exercise while learning more about Florida nature. I often see racoons, alligators, manatees, turtles, snakes, armadillos, and all kinds of fish.

Very nice area. Lots of information along the boardwalk paths, plus an information center. The paths take you though some beautiful areas and down along the creek.

We walk through the sanctuary quite often. Great, safe place for families. As others have said the boardwalk is really nice. Lots of turtles along some of the paths. Free parking, nice little shop to visit especially for young kids. Restroom facilities.

Yes there are, as long as you stay on the boardwalk trails. I don’t remember seeing any on the “natural” trails.
